A 12 hour hold???

An item can be in someone’s bag for 12 hours and then not a single one of the discount codes I was sent was applicable.

I have purchased from this company a few times and quite honestly, I held out hope that they would do better with each purchase. But unfortunately, it just gets worse. The items purchased were either labeled as women’s on the site but I get a child’s garment or severely shrunken and won’t fit. I spent $350.00 on a large bundle of clothes with my last order and could only keep a couple pieces. I ended up giving the clothes away because they charge a restock fee to return the items! Also, anything name brand is grossly overpriced. I have seen identical items at TJ Maxx for a third of their price. Seriously, don’t waste your money on this site. Sure, the items look good online but your not likely to get what you’re hoping for.. I gave one star because I couldn’t give zero.

I sent brand new banana republic clothes and a vintage Channel handbag, they STOLE it! ??They tell you that they only accept about 60% of what you send then and then donate the rest instead of sending it back. It’s a company that can LEGALLY STEAL! I was a fool to trust this company. The REAL REAL and POSHMARK does not operate in this manner, I should have set up consignment with them.

Love, Love, Love ThredUp! App is easy and quick to navigate.I love the app. I also love the company. I am disappointed about the re-stocking fee. It is really important when buying online to be able to try on items because sometimes they simply don’t fit. The restocking fee makes me less likely to buy something that may or may not fit, like a swimsuit or pants. However, I love the idea of letting clothing have a second life! It is good for the environment and my pocketbook.

I do love being able to buy nice cLothes at a discount. I wish the descriptions were a little more accurate, especially when an item is listed as “ you might mistake it for brand new”. I’ve bought items with that designation and the fronts are all pilled, there’s an inch long tear and pulled strings hanging out all over the place. I’ve also purchased “new with tags” and had to re-crochet the shoulder of a damaged dress with tags still attached. I think these items should be looked at a bit more critically. I’ve also liked some items but when it’s a final sale I just can’t risk losing the money if it doesn’t meet my expectations. Also perhaps a little more care in displaying the items. I see a top on backwards, a blouse mis- buttoned and clothes thrown on so sloppily that I just pass them by.
