New Rewards = no rewards

Whimsical nature

I am a VIT in theirs new points system which means I’m at the top tier and I still dint think it’s a good deal. The freedom of thrifting online was knowing I could return it for store credit and use my points to waive restocking fees. However with their new point system the restocking fees are worth the most. Now I will think twice before purchasing and never discover new brands that I am not familiar with the fit.

Great thrifting place, some interface improvements

Love and use this app a lot - great products at great prices to enjoy with good conscience, and a lot of fun in the search. The interface could have some improvements, my main pain points are: - categories of item filters - include some very detailed things like patterns, but not more basic sleeve length (for dresses, on the app) - emails with links to ThredUP - when clicking on links, no option to open on app, requiring to sign back in on web version / reset password (an issue mainly when getting a new clean out kit requiring printing) - file for printing could be accessed directly from app, or sent as attachment.

Best resale site

I am mostly bedridden these days, but still enjoy entertaining and going out once in awhile. I’ve gained some weight, and don’t have to spend the farm to stay very fashionable. An entire mall can’t provide all the choices that ThredUP provides at my convenience! I am hooked! Mamabadass

Do Not Trust This App!

Seven months ago, I sent a bag full of clothes to sell. I didn’t get an email, a notification or a penny for it!

Search engine broken. Orders take weeks.

ThredUP used to be great but has some serious issues these days. 1. The search engine straight up doesn't work. It will return the whole site sorted by relevance if you search for anything other than a brand; and even then it is case sensitive. You can only click on suggested searches and then proceed by filtering. It's bonkers to me that they haven't fixed this. 2. The order processing times have gotten out of hand. It takes several days, sometimes weeks for an order to even ship. 3. The item processing is low quality and leads to a lot of inaccuracies on the site. In recent months I've received items that are completely the wrong size, brand, or in terrible condition relative to what was listed. One pair of shoes was literally broken in half, and not in a way that could have happened during transit. 4. Don't even bother sending in clothes right now. The last box I sent in took 4+ months to process. I like what thredUP is trying to do as a company but it's worse than just going to my local Salvation Army at this point.

Love ThredUp and helping the planet!

Two years ago, I committed to buying nothing new and I’ll never go back! ThredUp is my main source for all of my fave highend brands (also love my local consignment) but would be lost without this app! So nice to make back some money selling clothes too. Especially love the partnerships they do, like Rent the Runway! So many amazing brands.

Do not sell or buy with thredup

Annabobannaaaaaa

Take this as a warning - I’ve shipped off great items to thredup months ago, no response on my follow up and no status update on when they will be processed. Similar experiences with many other customers. Buyers will find items purchased are counterfeits, no disclosure on damages or condition of item. Sellers will not get paid out for items that were not accepted, but sold off anyway. Stay away!

I almost exclusively shop for clothes at ThredUP!!

ThredUP is simply fabulous. After a major surgery I gained a LOT of weight and basically needed a completely new wardrobe. I also left medicine for a different career path, so I needed a business/business casual wardrobe, too. I now have high quality clothes that cost me pennies compared to their market price. I also love that I get all the satisfaction of retail therapy without pumping additional money into the fashion industry. It’s a big win all the way around!

Great service — but the app hangs

I’d use it more often if i could get the app to open when i wanted to!

Using website verses shipping time

Lanette’s

When checking out, the system would not permit me to use the treatpls discount code as advertised. Instead it kept going to minus my earned credit from selling clothes. This is under handed business practices. Then to make worse I had to use 200 of my points earned to get $10 off. I in total I used my earned credit, and my earned points instead of the as advertised “treatpls”25% off. Wrong wrong wrong. False advertisement.
