3 1/2 – thredUP: Online Thrift Store Review

I do love being able to buy nice cLothes at a discount. I wish the descriptions were a little more accurate, especially when an item is listed as “ you might mistake it for brand new”. I’ve bought items with that designation and the fronts are all pilled, there’s an inch long tear and pulled strings hanging out all over the place. I’ve also purchased “new with tags” and had to re-crochet the shoulder of a damaged dress with tags still attached. I think these items should be looked at a bit more critically. I’ve also liked some items but when it’s a final sale I just can’t risk losing the money if it doesn’t meet my expectations. Also perhaps a little more care in displaying the items. I see a top on backwards, a blouse mis- buttoned and clothes thrown on so sloppily that I just pass them by.
