Bugs that NEED your attention

DevHelpered

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD Please look into fixing the bug that causes Spotify volume to get quiet randomly. Happens mostly when I have my phone plugged into my car apple car play. I have to kill and restart the all CONSTANTLY if I want to listen to Spotify. ALSO please fix the bug where you have to kill and restart the app to put that a order is not ready. After pushing the option ‘Order not ready’, the app will grey out that option for all future orders you get until you kill and restart the app. THESE BUGS HAVE BEEN AROUND FOR OVER A YEAR. I took some coursework in Mobile application development if you’re hiring and would like a hand lol

Version 6.95

Ancle Drew

In this update they damaged the app in the sense that there is no longer priority for those who work full time at uber. Now anyone can come and take away the trips that could touch you. They would have left her with the trophy, it was fairer.

Absolutely horrible

I's a dasher now

Was having issues with my Uber eats account. Call Uber support , no help. Before I delivered I use to ride Uber to airport, etc. I signed up to Ubereats with a different email (didn’t know this would later be an issue). Worked 2 weeks for Ubereats and 1 day can’t get into my account. Call support they tell me my Uber rider account is my main account. Told support to check which account the money was made on they saw it was on the other email but support continues to tell me I have sign in with my rider account . Well did that next day deactivated accused me of fraud the whole nine. Told them to check phone records to hear this dummy tell me sign in using my rider account. Done delivering & riding with this company. Support is an absolute joke.

Needs work but getting there

A few problems I have with the app is when I’m 3 min from a delivery and it sends me an offer that covers up my navigation why not wait 3 min till I make the drop then send me the offer I will decline offers sent in the middle of my delivery %90 of the time as I live in anchorage Alaska and the roads are completely ice it’s just distracting and I need full focus to safely drive on ice and I can’t look at delivery details while I’m driving or give longer to accept the offer and put it in the background not over my navigation

Language Issue

spuentejr1

I want to become an Uber driver, but all of my registration is in Spanish and the examples are even from Mexico. I’m in the Rio Grande Valley market… that’s a big assumption on Ubers part. I’ve tried everything to change the language, and I’ve had no luck getting in contact with support. This is frustrating.

Horrible Resolution

If I had an option to not even rate this, I definitely would not. I wanted to start driving with Uber again to make a little extra money on the side until I start my job, I did everything like I was supposed to and no issue but when tried going online I was unable to and ran into multiple problems, which started down hill from there. Long story short, I talked to 7 different agents (which 2 of those agents hung up on me while I was speaking and none of whom were supervisors as the supervisors refused to speak with me) trying to resolve this issue so I can drive, 3 out of those 7 agents told me 3 different reasons as to why my account was deactivated, this was because they came to a decision about one of my documents being “fraudulent” after I explained it was not and I could show proof they were accurate and valid (hence I’ve used this document with Uber multiple times over the 2 years I was driving previously). After finally being told why, I was told an appeal was filed on my behalf (which I was unaware of as I was previously told I had to file the appeal myself and was unable to and still did not receive any help with that either) regarding the deactivation of my account. It was finally the last agent I spoke with who told me a decision was made and they denied my appeal due to “fraudulent documents” and it was final, which I felt was unfair seeing as how I had proof my documents were valid and they overlooked that fact and did not care. Every time I asked to speak with a supervisor “they were always busy at the moment” or “could not speak with me because the decision was already made” even though this was a decision I wasn’t aware of until I called multiple times. It does NOT state in the Uber policies that supervisors cannot assist drivers or deactivate an account due to “fraudulent documents” without speaking to the driver of the account and not consider looking at proof of valid said document. I will NEVER drive with Uber again after being treated the way I have dealing with this issue for a week now. I will let it be known on EVERY social media how Uber Support really treats their drivers.

Greed killed Uber

the guy who commetted

As a driver with thousands of trips under my belt and a car that has had 1 major breakdown, now over 200,000 miles. A list a mile long of repairs needed and a freshly cracked windshield......driving Uber and Lyft has been a failed experiment neither company will pay you enough to pay your bills and keep your car running. You must choose one or the other. I’ve been tracking a issue intensively since Covid started the promotions to get bonuses are so high you can’t achieve them being out all day. The closer I get to bonuses the longer the trips become or the trips stop coming in all together. Old drivers talk about how good it USED to me and how they left when the pay became less than other jobs. I’m about to do the same. There is zero support system for us contractors to negotiate earnings according to society, inflation, cost of fuel and repairs. All Uber has done is implement a point system as if points pay our bills. Oh they offer a Costco membership now so that must mean putting 100k miles on your vehicle in a year is sustainable because that’ll god I got that Costco membership hahahaha company’s a joke they offer new drivers more money than I make in a week to do half the work load I do in a week. It’s too get you hooked then they will cut the pay drastically don’t fall for it. They have profit margins to hit yearly and as a driver you don’t profit at all you just scrap by week to week with little to no profit percentage. Also TVs dangerous Uber refuses to give you pictures of your passengers and it will create dangerous situations in high crime areas. As I have experienced on Lyft and Uber. The job pays in the poverty line while your driving constantly. It’s not worth your time or your jeopardize safety. Your driving in traffic all day you should make 20 a hr easily because you have to buy a new vehicle every 3 years.

Uber Very bad company for the drivers

I work with Uber from 2015 last week Uber close my access to the Uber app when I calling to customer support they telling me safety issue and when I try to speak with some management or some high management then nobody calling me back they telling me they will be call you to explain what was happening well I know what was happening on Tuesday I pick up one guy from Long Island Suffolk county Medford his name was John and it was night and I came to pick up point and he was standing in the same dark places and when he came to me he was so upset and angry and was screaming in the car and she was tell me why I didn’t come to him because he was raising him with me and I told him like next time if you want to see you you need to open flash in your phone because it’s dark and after this I took him to the home in Maspeth and when he was coming from the car and he told me next time he will be slapped me on my face and I didn’t do it and I didn’t answer I just close the app and put him one star and put all the marks what I don’t wanna this rider in my car and after this when I finish my job at 8 o’clock in the morning when I came home I was doing my breakfast over Sandman not what they closing my app access to app of the security safety issue and I explained myself some emails and nothing is helping nobody calling me back and this company not respecting no drivers nobody after seven years I was working with A Uber no respect no nothing and also another things like example if the client paying nine dollars for the minimum for the driver getting $4.70 intent mean Uber overcharging drivers up to 65% it’s unbelievable it’s mean like over rubbing us another excellent example I have Kline paying $24 driver receiving $11 after all our expensive on the girls insurance amortization financing leasing repairs this company robbery drivers when I start in 2015 working Uber in the city in Manhattan there was charging us only 25 to represent each year the raising raising and raising this is no good company right now I working with another company it’s like example via Jonah get

No more compensation for their own app not working correctly

ET writes

I have been driving for Uber eats with my partner numerous times; where the restaurant we arrived to for an order is closed ,or they simply do not want to participate that evening. Upon calling the Uber help line over and over they told us that we can no longer be compensated 3 dollars because it has happened to us too many times. But we can appeal it… No one ever answers the line when transferred to make an appeal, or they say we will contact you and never do. First off 3 dollars is a joke to compensate someone for, when the original trip tends to be 10 dollars or more! Second off we still drove to many restaurants that according to the app were either open or participating! To which we were never compensated for. And third if you really believe you have had to compensate someone too many times because the order could not be completed clearly the problem is within your app and communications with your restaurant or store partners. Not the Drivers fault! Either Uber a billion dollar company or The stores or restaurants should pay a fee not the person driving… (they lost gas and their time) The driver did their job! They held up their end of the work force and most likely they are the one who gets the short end of the stick and is the one who needs the money the most! This is sick and greedy capitalist behavior! Shame on you Uber shame on you! Fix your app and take care of your employees.
