Greed killed Uber – Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver Review

As a driver with thousands of trips under my belt and a car that has had 1 major breakdown, now over 200,000 miles. A list a mile long of repairs needed and a freshly cracked windshield......driving Uber and Lyft has been a failed experiment neither company will pay you enough to pay your bills and keep your car running. You must choose one or the other. I’ve been tracking a issue intensively since Covid started the promotions to get bonuses are so high you can’t achieve them being out all day. The closer I get to bonuses the longer the trips become or the trips stop coming in all together. Old drivers talk about how good it USED to me and how they left when the pay became less than other jobs. I’m about to do the same. There is zero support system for us contractors to negotiate earnings according to society, inflation, cost of fuel and repairs. All Uber has done is implement a point system as if points pay our bills. Oh they offer a Costco membership now so that must mean putting 100k miles on your vehicle in a year is sustainable because that’ll god I got that Costco membership hahahaha company’s a joke they offer new drivers more money than I make in a week to do half the work load I do in a week. It’s too get you hooked then they will cut the pay drastically don’t fall for it. They have profit margins to hit yearly and as a driver you don’t profit at all you just scrap by week to week with little to no profit percentage. Also TVs dangerous Uber refuses to give you pictures of your passengers and it will create dangerous situations in high crime areas. As I have experienced on Lyft and Uber. The job pays in the poverty line while your driving constantly. It’s not worth your time or your jeopardize safety. Your driving in traffic all day you should make 20 a hr easily because you have to buy a new vehicle every 3 years.
