Confusing and Broken Features

Yesterday I accepted my first Uber Eats delivery and struggled to mark the order as delivered. The part was the it was a 2 in 1 delivery so 2 people. It took me 40 minutes and going back and forth from destination to figure out how to make it. Then I was told my my friend I had to take a picture which is really dumb honestly. Then when I went to the second guy who was actually really understanding about the first delivery and why his order was an hour later it told me to take a picture. If i’m handing someone their food WHY DO I NEED TO TAKE A PICTURE!?!? It’s weird asking “Hey, Do you kind If I take a picture of you holding the food for delivery?” LET IT BE A TWO WAY STREET! I mark it, they mark it. Done! Or just believe your drivers. Another thing is the Drivers Preference tool is BROKE . DOESN'T LOAD! I don’t want to do uber eats period. Fix the tool so I can deliver people not food. Thank you!

Mostly good, but still has some quirks. log of issues 2/5/21 Screen froze and had to reboot after not being able to shut down the app. My fare came up without address or directions when I got it to come up. Had to reinstall app to fix problem

Just a heads up if you keep getting an error for submitting the background check. The team involved in “helping” with this is completely useless. Been trying for months and they always reply the same message with not actually doing anything to help.

There is a glitch on the app, and it seems like the problem only occurs for new drivers, where they cannot go online no matter what. Contacted the customer rep. hundreds of times, and they only copied and pasted same instructions over and over. Uber needs to realize the issue, but they seem to lack communication between customer support and the HQ to address issues and fix them in a timely manner. Horrible management.

Promotions and App

I enjoy driving and making extra money. Passengers are great and try to be helpful when the app is being difficult with location pick up and drop offs. I notice also that sometimes even though I’m waiting I’m not getting paid for it. The app doesn’t tell you where you will be going and a lot of wasted time, gas and mileage happens. Promotions are iffy...I try to reach goals and attempt the 3 series but I found myself driving my second passenger up to Echo Mountain and lost service. I did not go offline by choice and I lost out. Even if I wouldn’t of accepted the ride I would of lost out. I was in a lose lose situation. I thought once I called Uber and explained to them and they would see I continued driving they would make it right but no such luck. It was pretty disappointing because now I have no motivation to attempt anymore.

Uber sent me an email that they tried to run a background check using an old license of mine and it didn’t get cleared and I have reached out multiple times trying to get them to run an updated check but they have simply ignored me or responded with robot responses and now I cannot work for them at all.
