Does not work with my camera do not update your software

I have a FLIR one, it just keeps em telling me to turn it on and wait for 20sec, the picture never shows up but when I go to the settings page it says it’s connected also if I pull down the calibration slider it says calibrating but still no pictures

Until version 4.0.1 was released I could still use my Gen 1 FLIR devices with IOS operating system. All my Gen 1 devices have now been rendered useless necessitating repurchasing Gen 3 devices (which may work only until the next update). Not a good strategy for FLIR as Chinese FLIR knockoff cameras now perform at a higher spec / lower price. Not much incentive to pay a higher price for Teledyne/FLIR if support isn’t there.

Very disappointed FLIR one gen 1 was left out of this release, sure new company owners won’t understand that we as customers first believed in this product then your existence.

Online AND on the box, this company falsely states that this app will work with “iOS 11 or higher”, when trying to install the app on my iPad it says it requires “iOS 13 or higher”. I will be returning tomorrow.

I charged it, plugged into my phone, installed app, and away I went. I like the portable size. Great tool.

Downgrade update. Think carefully before update.

This update is missing the selfie mode and timer, which are the most important functions for me. That means you can not take pictures of yourself. Update is supposed to be a upgrade not a downgrade. I do not understand why they took away these functions. I contacted support and still they do not have plans to include these functions yet. Do not update if you need these functions. They do not provide a way to go back to the previous version.

Compared to the previous version the gradient no longer works to block out lower temperature . What happened Flir? You used to be a great company. Now crapware.

1st Gen FLIR One not supported

I only use my 1st Gen FLIR ONE occasionally as a DIYer/hobbyist. It has been several months since I used it and am disappointed that it will not work with the newest version of the app. Please release an older version of the app for those of us that still utilize these otherwise functional legacy devices. It’s absurd that I should have to purchase a new device just because of a software update.

Confusing mess

The app actually works fine for my needs, but with the v4 of the app, flir has opted for a support mess. Rather than create a separate app for a new generation of their device, they are relying on the owners of prior generations not to update the existing app, and are saying it might not work. It’s hard to recommend the app and hardware based on this lack of consideration for its continuing use.
