Unreadable numerics

A.Duck

First, the hardware is really quite good and the app as a whole is well-done. However, the font used to show a measurement spot is almost unreadable against lighter colors and this makes it very disappointing for trying to measure things. The font size is large enough but it needs more of a shadow outline or thicker stroke or something and the transparency should be removed. Another issue is there are very few options for emissivity and no way to set it correctly for human skin as you can with other thermal cameras. It would also be nice to be able to set a temperature threshold instead of only having the "hottest" LUT which varies, 36.3 C with skin emissivity set would be incredibly super relevant right now for obvious reasons.

Works pretty well, one complaint though

Steeps5

So I have the FLIR One Pro, and this app actually works pretty well with it. I really don't have any issues with actually using the camera. My problem comes with the file naming. Every image seems to receive the same exact file name on the same day pictures are taken. Please look into this issue, when I upload images to OneDrive, they have to be individually renamed by the app, so I have to click through each picture to retry upload.

FLIR Account Required for 3rd Gen. FLIR ONE

iCrapMyPlants

Under pressure, FLIR removed the requirement for 1st & 2nd Gen FLIR ONE owners to create an account to continue using their product. However, this also means that 3rd Gen. owners must accept their new Terms of Use. Better read it.

Crashing

mrMahonesky

I’ve had my FLIR one for iOS a few years. It has stopped working since I upgraded to a iPhone 11 v 13.3.1 Tried on my work phone which is a iPhone 8 v 13.3 and the same thing happens. The app comes up on the screen and the app attempts to connect to the phone. Once it connects the app drops out.

What happens? My camera stopped working suddenly

amoreau

Hi, I love this cam and did many things with it but suddenly it is not working anymore, I tried to contact Flir and it has been impossible. It is frustrating to have a good device but very bad support AFTER SOEAKING WITH SUPPORT THEY TOLD ME THAT IT ONLY WORKS WITH IOS 12.4 OR LESS. WHAT A SURPRISE, THE CAM WILL GO TO THE TRASH NOW AND THIS COMPANY LOST MY CREDIBILITY, NEVER MORE BUY A PRODUCT FROM THEM

Hacking me

How come I downloaded the app and three random pictures popped up in my camera roll and one of them being a picture of the inside hood of my moms car from earlier and I deleted the app a few days ago

Unstable app

Bhw777

The app isn’t very stable and become worse after I updated iOS recently. It keep quitting by itself once it detected the FLIR. When it didn’t quit, there is no camera image most of the time. When it did have images, it doesn’t last long and will freeze after a while. Very frustrating.

Embeds FLIR watermark in all images

brennanMKE

I started a chat with Customer Support in the app to ask how to remove it and was told they could not help. If I bought a camera from Canon or Sony and every photo had a watermark that would not be acceptable and is not acceptable with this camera. Don’t buy this product. Now I’ve found Seek Thermal has a camera which works with my iPhone and does not ruin every image with a watermark. Get that camera instead.

Expecting better from Flir...

BAR Studios

I downloaded this software to use with a Flir One Pro LT. The instructions that came with the camera contained only one real instruction: download Flir One app. The Flir one app provides no detailed instructions on first use of the camera nor a description of the charging time before first use. The app itself appears to have a clean design, but the inclusion of a watermark on every image effectively reduces the resolution of this device. My Canon, DJI, and Sony camera gear don’t include this and neither does Flir’s more direct competitors. I’ve used Flir products previously and the hardware has been pretty solid, but the accompanying software is consistently disappointing. To the point that I may return this camera and replace it with a lower cost competitor, thus eliminating the need for this app.

Bad programmer, bad app

R. Augustin A. Chenault

Every time I open the app after a while, the temperature readout is -76 degrees and I have to force-close and re-open the app literally every single time I use the FLIR. Also, if that wasn’t easy enough a problem for the programmer to fix, there was a pop up asking if I wanted to make a FLIR account and the only two options were “yes” and “later,” there wasn’t a “no” or “never” or a “FFS, I will never make a flir account.”
