Continued use of GPS running in the background can decrease battery life. If you experience significant battery drain while using BMW Connected, select the lower battery usage option in the Settings menu.

Doesnt update more than it does

The app iS very slow and unreliable. Often when performing a command for lights , horn or 3D view, an “error” occurs and nothing happens. So basically the app is useless

Even after I disabled background synchronization, this app continued to do so and collected data. The only way to remedy the issue was to delete the app.

App worked perfectly at first then I took the car to get services and they updated my software and now the app is basically useless ?

Nice functionality when it works. My app locks and jams too often while processing functions such as remote lock. Must delete app and reload app. Also, little/no communication from BMW when your subscription expires. Functionality stops without warning. They don’t even contact you to sell you to renew your subscription.
The worst of the worst

Location services still doesn’t work. It’s been 2 months and there’s still no progress, can’t connect to my vehicle, can’t send destinations and it doesn’t even show current milage. I had to just delete this app from my phone because it’s completely useless. Don’t even waste your time downloading this app, you’ll just end up getting frustrated trying to make it work. If I could give this app a 0 I would. FIX THIS!
Was great for the first month...

...after I bought the car and it was functional. Now, no amount of tinkering will re-enable 3D remote view or other remote features. Very disappointing.

Worked for a month fine when bought car and since downloaded new iOS for iPhone it stopped working. Has since not been able to connect once and is useless. Calls to customer service just end in “we filed a ticket and hopefully someone calls you back in a week or so”. This is sad. Won’t buy another bmw due to this.

The one time I need the app to unlocked my doors I get an error SERVICE CAN NOT BE PERFORMED No services can be performed at the current time because another service isinglass progress. I initiated no other service or command. That is garbage service and inconvenience.
Useless if you buy a loaner vehicle

Brand new loaner and I can’t connect to this app because it was a service loaner, makes no sense.

Just a terrible app. The Connected Drive does not send info (destinations, etc) to the vehicle. The troubleshooting does not work. Simple things that most car manufacturer apps have perfected 10 years ago.
