Alarm feature

Brian miller1337

Would love to see the ability to use the alarm. I live in a populated area and have cameras facing my cars at all times. Would love to be able to use the alarm if someone gets too close to my car on my property. Also what do you guys mean that "remote start is not available AT THIS TIME"? Will it be available in the future? Thanks Update: my connected drive deleted my car and I'm unable to add it again. It keeps telling me my car is already registered to my username, but I can't access anything about my car. Disappointed in this being broken. Update 2/18: had to delete it online on the website in order to make it work, haven't had an issue since, but I don't like how there's limited features to this. We have less features in my $100,000 car then my Ford Explorer does. Would love to see some innovative updates.

Seems cool

Lifesvr

I just downloaded the app last night after getting a BMW i3. I was able to lock the doors from inside my house (after it told me they were unlocked). It’s keeping me updated on the charging battery. I will try more options as the need arises.

Half baked

Almost all of the car status items are displayed as “unavailable.” Per BMW Connected, that’s a known issue to be fixed in a future release. The fuel level is only intended to update when connected to the car via USB; seriously! That makes the feature almost worthless. To make it less useful, it only updates the first time its connected via USB because of an app bug that requires reinstallation of the app each time you want the fuel level to update. Last, despite having a very strong cellular signal, standing next to my car, it took about a minute for the car to unlock. By contrast, a $400 system I added to another car in 2006 (and running on the 2G network versus 3 or 4G today), it took about 8 seconds to unlock via the mobile network.

BMW Connect

This app stopped working. I have called several days to get assistance and no one seem to know why Connect Assist doesn’t work any longer!!!

Not reliable

new2bmw

As a new BMW owner I am disappointed. I loaded the app, it seemed to work fine one day and then “lost track” of my car the next. When I attempted to “reconnect” my car, it said it was “already added” yet I am unable to use any of the remote functions.

Remote control features disappeared

Just sasy

The remote control features disappeared after recent app update. I have an active subscription for remote features. Please fix this issue

Garbage

Faaargo

Even scam copycat apps work better than this. When I try to locate my X5 it says I need to enable location services, yet the app never asked me for location permission. If I go to my phone’s location settings, this app isn’t even listed there. It used to work just fine few months back. Honking horn, flashing lights works, but takes forever. I don’t understand how a company that makes such a nice (not cheap) vehicle can’t manage their IT stuff. They shouldn’t even offer an app if this is the best they can do.

Remote 3D View

Jomared

Downloaded the app and everything is set but the remote 3D view is disabled. Called customer support like 4 times already and troubleshoot the issue. No one seems to figure out what is wrong! The concept is nice if the app works as intended.

Useless

Sad-the one thing most cars have these days is a strong interface between our phones and car display. Allows us to get info and access apps without picking up the phone. The BMW app completely misses the mark. Sorry BMW but this will force me to look at a different car next time.
