Worst APP ever!

While I love my BMW for everything that it is worth, I hate this APP! I expect way more from this car company. Only thing that I can get to work flawlessly is opening the APP. Everything else in the APP, good luck. If you want to sound the horn, flash the lights, lock/unlock your doors, seems like you have to be in the vehicle in order for it to work, which is totally pointless! For some reason, the APP keeps mixing up my addresses for home & work (home is work & work is home). Tried deleting them altogether & guess what? The APP brings them right back like you never swiped on it & selected remove. Just start over with the APP. The problem isn’t car specific either. The APP is just good to find your car & that’s about it. Sorry BMW, this isn’t the “Ultimate APP for the Ultimate Driving Experience.” SMH ??‍♂️

Great app for first time buyers of a BMW and all models are covered. I didn’t know how to use anything but the start button. It was slow for me cause I’m 67 years old. The more you drive it the better.

I don’t know if all these bad reviews are old or what their issues are, but I’ve used this app multiple times a day for 3 years and it has always worked as advertised. It’s my primary way of selecting my destination for the GPS and on hot days I’ll turn on the ventilation before I head for the car. Haven’t had any issues.

DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT UPDATE IF YOUR APP IS LIMPING OR WORKING, THE LATEST UPDATE DOES NOT WORK DOES NOT WORK DOES NOT WORK ‘SERVICE CANNOT BE PERFORMED’ ‘SERVICE CANNOT BE PERFORMED’. Like a fool i just updated a few minutes ago and now I get ‘SERVICE CANNOT BE PERFORMED’. BMW: HOW MANY MONTHS, WEEKS, DAYS AND HOURS MUST I WAIT FOR YET ANOTHER UPDATE. THE LAST UPDATE THAT WORKED WAS IN APRIL 2019, SEE MY MESSAGE. BMW CONNECTED CUSTOMER SERVICE DOESN’T KNOW HOW CONNECTED DRIVE WORKS AND WHEN I LAST CALLED THEM THEIR COMPUTERS WERE SCREWED UP, ONE COMPUTER HAD OLD ACCOUNT INFORMATION WHILE THE OTHER COMPUTER WAS NOT WORKING RIGHT FOR THE CS AGENT. BMW CONTINUES TO BE HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE. Update April 2019 The last time the app worked was Dec 2018 then the December upgrade destroyed the app. Now its April 4 and its fixed. Never update this App again as the software developers must be horrible.

The app has some nice features and shortcomings but I will give it 4-stars just for the vehicle location feature. It gets me reduced insurance rates and it is free. Plus, the ability to push navigation destinations from the app to the car saves tons of time. Remote start would be nice but BMW doesn’t offer.

Won’t accept a pin

It won’t let me past setting up a pin and I do have security on my phone. The customer service is just as bad as I emailed them and crickets. Not impressed. BMW should have sought out more competent developers.

I just got off the phone with (BMW) connected assist. The response was “oh yes it’s an ongoing issue we’re trying to work on it as we speak”. They must be kidding. This is been an ongoing issue since I purchased my car last year. At this time, I have followed all the directions that the customer service folks suggested and I feel like a dope. Clearly they know it’s not gonna work. So I jumped through their hoops and I still have nothing. The app says my car is about 40 miles away from where I am. What happens if it’s stolen and I check to see where it is? There’s got to be some liability to this. Somebody please help

Remote function started working again but how long??

The remote features did not work for at least several months for my i3. Now they work again, but I will see how long it will last..
