What is going on with this?

Dwormanh

I bought my 2014 CPO in December. The app does not show my mileage, simply shows “- -.” The app doesn’t give me any information about maintenance. Most importantly, when I enter a destination and tap “go,” the app tells me to connect to my car. I get in my car and start it... nothing happens with my navigation. Occasionally the address will show up in “messages.” I’ve been told this shouldn’t be happening. It’s incredibly frustrating. I recently had a loaner from my dealer. I connected through ConnectedDrive. The loaner vehicle (2018 330i) showed how many gallons were in the tank, miles to empty, and when I entered a destination and tapped “go,” once I connected to the car, directions and navigation started nearly instantly. What is going on?!?

No access to some apps

DA SARGE (N.L.T.S.)

Everywhere I look, this app is advertised as connecting apps from phone to car. Though twitter is listed in the car, it isn’t included in the BMW connected App on my phone. Has it been removed? Can it be added? Seems there are issues connecting to other apps as well. I can’t be the only one with this issue. Very frustrating. If it has been removed, please inform the consumer. *UPDATE* Thanks for your response. The issue is that the option in the car attempts to use this app to connect to Twitter. However, if this is not supported any longer...understood.

Archaic

The concept of an app is to work, not have pretty pictures and graphics to woo someone into thinking there is value. The door lock feature and map enablement is nice but it would also be helpful if the app was able to let one know the vehicle status. Locked, unlocked, location, etc., are basic functions that this app fails at dramatically. I also feel that having to be connected via usb is a bit cumbersome on an $85k automobile in the 21st century to get apps to be acknowledged. Maybe the developers are trying to get streamlined with the updates but until these basic functions are fixed, the rating is fitting.

Annoying

I would echo some other comments / reviews. The app should not be allowed to auto launch. There should be a feature that allows the user to turn this off. Undoubtably, I am texting as I get in my car. However as soon as I start the ignition, the BMW apps takes over my phone and very slowly loads. The app would be fine if not so intrusive. Anyway to fix this?

Terrible

Add a vehicle, confirms it’s been added then it doesn’t appear. Add it again and it fails because it’s already been added. Do that for 15 minutes and you’ll be ready to rip your hair out. Ever hear the term customer experience? This is a very bad one ?

Remote services suddenly stopped in i3

Z!KeepeR

After using it for a while it just stopped working. Despite the car still showing I’m subscribed, the app says it requires subscription. Worth nothing that for BMW i3 this ConnectedDrive app has very limited use. I only used it for remote lock and climatizing. And paying $350 per year for that is just outrageous given absolute lack of updates to the service.

Remote cool and charge status has disappeared.

App was fine until yesterday. Now it hangs on services required.

I’m so disappointed that this app no longer works with my car. All of sudden the new update changed everything. I hate updates.
