Total Crap

NormIreland

This is the worse mobile app I have ever used in 15 years. Continually needs to be uninstalled and reinstalled after every use. Support for this app is below one star, if there was such a thing.

So Unreliable

NashTred

This app is so disappointing. It has its moments that it works as advertised. But unfortunately there is no consistency. There is no way you can count on this app to work when you need it. It’s hard to believe BMW hasn’t fixed these issues. If you read the reviews these problems have plagued this app month after month with only temporary fixes. The other thing I’ve noticed is it’s hit or miss to get a response from the developer to address customer concerns. Nothing about this app lives up to BMW standards. You can do better than this.

Disconnects from my vehicle all the time

Beantown21

Worked for a week, then will never connect to server, won’t update gps location for my vehicle. Crap!

Would be great if it works..

adamhiekel

This app is great but it works sometimes. The 3D view worked once. The app keeps removing my car for no reason, and it’s very annoying having to redo the whole process all over again like vin which you never have on you and it’s just annoying getting of your car door jam.. doesn’t always refresh either when you want to check fuel range or if your windows and doors are locked. I really wish this app would work it’s so useful. But at this moment I never use it.

Connected drive failed

froggy44

Stopped working Since December 2019. Can’t connect my car, nothing works. The car can’t connect anywhere including all of LA, Ventura and San Diego Counties. They should get rid of bmw Connect and just use Apple car play.

BMW App

Uduxxi

BMW App is not pushing new features as aggressively as other vendor is doing they have pretty good product line up but should focus on technology side also

Works so far!

Vivihan

With all the bad reviews, I was not expecting the app to work. I downloaded it and was able to lock my car remotely. Here’s hoping it continues to work.

It works but I’m not allowed to renew service?

gnicholos

I love my 428i, and enjoyed this app until I wasn’t allowed to renew its full service; ie remote locking, ventilation, horn etc. imagine the frustration where everything works fine on my car but the services get reduced. Each month I call a service rep, they write up a work order and acknowledge problems with the app and say corrections are forthcoming and everything works again with a complimentary month of service? This has gone in for three months. Astonishing that I can’t even pay for the service. In contrast where my BMW inexplicably losses features over time, Tesla owners receive new features over time- what’s wrong with this picture? Fix it! Oh when it works it’s great! That’s the worst part.

Washing machines have more reliable apps

Starving_Kids

Not joking in the title, my washing machine's app is easier to use and crashes less than this trainwreck. I wish I could rely on the remote unlock to let others into my car, but I rarely get the chance to use it because of how often the server fails to connect. It's a shame, because if this app functioned properly even 50% of the time it would be one of the most used on my phone. And don't even get me started on the dumpster fire that is the watch app... BMW is lucky they still make some of the best handling "normal" cars around, because their surrounding tech ecosystem is shaky at best.
