Doesn’t work

RADMJK

The app has never connected to my X5 since day one. Have been on the phone to try and get resolved with no success.

Still garbage

Tjsean

New update added “exciting new features” according to the release notes. How about fixing the basic ones? Things like starting or stopping a charge are absent. Event based updates are insufficient while charging at public chargers. This should be real-time.

Thankfully the cars work better

gmoney99951

If they made cars like they make apps they would be bankrupt. The remote control to lock or unlock or remote view, etc. haven’t worked since the first time I tried it a month ago. Slow to update charging status. Just overall really not even close to what you would expect given the luxury brand and technology that’s in the cars.

Worst app that I still use.

ALERT44

I live in Houston. It is INSANELY hot much of the time. This APP is SUPPOSED to climatize the car prior to entry. Unfortunately, it only works 1 out of 10 attempts. Or less. However, the most frustrating thing about the stupid app is that BMW asks me to rate it every few weeks - yet they never update it at all. Frustrating on every level. It is actually a very good reason not to buy a BMW. For instance, my girlfriend’s Durango has a similar app - works like a charm 99% of the time. Germans should hang their heads in shame.

Latest Update Crash Loops iOS

tnethers

iPhone XR on latest non beta iOS crashes upon opening. Last release worked great...

Interferes with Bluetooth- stay away!

person12334

I spent months trying to debug the Bluetooth on my 330e. I could only play media using the USB connection. I finally read on an Apple board that this app was the culprit. The dealer didn’t even know that....terrible. All the other features are superfluous. I’ve liked malware better than this app!

BMW Connected - Failed

TheWizardOfOdds

BMW Assist Support Staff have told numbers of BMW owners that the BMW Connected app services are being restored on a “One by One basis”. Although BMW Support has not been more specific about the cause of the lengthy and wide spread Connected app service outage, they are conveying to us that these repairs are happening at a “local account” level as opposed to a “global level”. I believe that we can infer that the issues lie within our accounts Unique Identifiers. If everyones BMW Connected app did not work, we could assume that there was a fundamental algorithmic error and a global patch of the application backend would solve the issue. Those Unique Identifiers include (but may not be limited to) your vehicles VIN number, cell phone number, Connected Drive serial number, your user account credentials, perhaps your credit card number, the model of your Connected Drive head and/or its sub components (hardware), the version of Connected Drive firmware. The apparent wide range of BMW models and model years affected by the Connected app service outage leads me to conclude that this is not a hardware issue. In short, Unique Identifiers are DATA. What happened to our data and what is being done to repair it and restore service in a timely manner? Did BMW write this App? It’s a joke.

Brad19487

It is hard to believe that Bmw actually developed this app. The app is a joke. It lags all the time. It works only sporadically. The information it provides is accurate. Many of the features of the app do not work. Really, couldn’t Bmw have hired some Reputable app developers to do a decent job? This app is an embarrassment for Bmw.Don’t waste your time with it.

Can’t save default dealership

PS1100

This app is so broken. You can’t save your default dealership. It saves but once you to go back and view it there is no longer a saved location. This is just as bad as the ConnectedDrive website that won’t save your map zone. Fix your problems BMW!
