While there have been improvements in this app over the years, it still has major problems. The remote 3D view rarely works (at present I can’t get it to work at all). Remote start used to work, and seems to have stopped. Sending navigation destinations is still fairly awkward and cumbersome. BMW, and the computer industry in general, really need to prioritize bug fixing to a profound degree that is simply not happening now.

Worst car app I’ve ever tried. This app fails to communicate with its servers and my car when I need it the most.

Functionality is not working with sending destinations from the app to the car. This has happened in the past and they fixed it. Apparently they decided to do it again. Remote locking and other features also are failing to work.

Bought new 330i in November. App stopped working in 3 weeks. Will not connect to car Can not locate car Cannot use remote start or any other remote features Have spoke to dealer and 1-800 number who continue to tell me to reboot the idrive in the car and delete and resinstall the app Waste of time app

Disappointing experience. Seldom updates vehicle location. Ventilation function never connects to activate. - can't activate heated seats or steering wheel when it is cold out. Not worth wasting the space on phone to download!

Purchased an X7 4 months ago and immediately attempted connected setup. After first working with BMW geniuses (many) and graduation to many BMW assist calls, the app can’t locate the car, provide 360 view, much less anything else - it’s frozen in the non working state that existed months ago. Have had “advanced tickets” issued by BMW assist with the promise of calls to come in 3-5 days - never received any calls. Not sure that BMW follow up are any more than a hoax.

You’d think BMW would want to be proud of their app for the i3. Its nothing better than ticking off a box... it crashes frequently, no updates and evolving features worth talking about. If make a change, you never know if it actually was executed in the car. Instead the UX reminds you of 1990 dial-in modem connection building that ends in a failed connection. I’d expect that I could set immediate charging based on location. Like when I am on the road vs at home ?!? Not sure if BMW’s app team ever heard of notifications and what you could do with it when it comes to charging. I have more but the app is so basic that it must only mean nobody at BMW cares.

99% nothing works on this app, remote start always fails, it literally takes 2 minutes, it’s so slow! How can a luxury brand make such bad app? Subaru makes way better mobile car control app than this. I spent $70,000 on a car and this is disappointing that bmw might not even spent 1/10 of their efforts in the app. I am done with this app until they release a significant update addressing this issue.

Doesn’t always work, really slow when it does. Compared to Lexus Enform, this is a joke.
