FINALLY!

ohhaythar!

After months and months of issues, the app is PERFECT on my new vehicle. After getting the software updated by the dealer for ID7 (2019.07) it is perfect. Everything works flawlessly. Also, my service advisor was smart enough to tell me to delete the app and my profile and start from scratch. I can say that this resolved the previous issues. Please keep this stable and updated BMW!

Frustrating app

DJD67LA

App never worked. Called support several times, they were no/very little help. Dealership entered my email wrong, I was told it would take 7 days to change my email address (are you kidding me?). VERY disappointed in what should be “premium” car company product has such sub-par technology.

No longer works

kbuchan1

Hasn’t worked on my car for months now.

Not working

lsanny

Currently not working. Just bought my 2020 X5 M50i, and since day 1, app not working. Will not refresh at all. Very annoying. It worked just fine with my 18 M550i. Very disappointed!

Works well until it doesn’t.

The pattern with apps for BMW and their telematics technology in general is that it only works for a while until they change features or some other technology replaces it. Nothing quite like realizing the remote door locking or find your car features no longer work. You pay for this when you buy the car but it’s a huge waste of cash. My wish is that I could disable all these features when I take delivery on a car so I won’t be so annoyed when the inevitable occurs.

This app leaves A LOT to be desired...

Got my i3 in late June 2019. Downloaded this app, and thought this would be equivalent or better than what I get with OnStar for my Chevy Volt. Boy was I wrong!!! ? BMW go do some research competition and look at OnStar... you are YEARS behind. As soon as my Volt leaves home, I get a text, telling me. Every single trip made gets tracked from start to finish and is reviewable at any time. My auto-start (to cool my car off) works flawlessly EVERY time (compared to about 60% of the time for my i3). I get a reminder text at 10 PM, if I forget to plug in my Volt (because the app allows me to set it up...). I CANNOT even set up your app as a complication for my Apple Watch (again, unlike OnStar). BMW app team, you have a LONG WAY TO GO, to even come close to OnStar. Very, very underwhelming app... ?

BMW Connected is no BMW

BryZdude

I do like sending my address to my car prior to trips. However, this is one of the few products not worthy of the BMW name. Started driving a newer BMW for the tech. advantages. Altho the app is sufficient, lower tier manufactures’ systems like Ford far exceed it. BMW, please, streamline funding for app development and treat this more seriously. Clearly, you can do this right if ya tried ;)

New version takes step backwards

HPRI

Upgraded version now stops working when in background. So if you switch to, say, Waze or Google Maps while playing music it stops working. Come on. That’s just dumb.

Try again

Richwm

So this app worked prior to the update but now it can’t even find my 335i or my wife’s X5 or even display the current miles.
