bmw needs to pull their act on supporting the paid s/w better

Aarju

this app is good but the support behind is pathetic and more often than not its broken and BMW doesn’t fix the issue for months on and on. I was not able to use my service for better part of my ownership of my new car and the service expired. I was promised that I will get my service period extended to make up for the lost months and inconvenience, but that never happened.

Doesn’t work! Always freezing. Hasn’t uploaded in over a month. Called customer support, updated app and car, still doesn’t work...

Worked for a week then stopped and no one can help

DNap75

Worst service, 2020 X3, last connected to car Jan 6 and hasn’t updated since, I have called and called and no one can help. Worst experience ever

Not working

Absolutely useless app.

Doesn’t work with 2020s & newer iPhones

gmaSarah2

So, doesn’t work. Buy an very expensive car & told oh yeah, does work with iPhone XS or higher. Worthless. Not dealerships issue bc it took 3 days for us to use an older iPhone to get it to work. I even have the fully updated digital dash & I cannot even remotely check if I left my car unlocked. Super irritating.

APP not compatible with new i7 software

AsaadAlnajjar

This App used to be great few years ago, but now it goes downhill with every upgrade. It works 100% great with my 2017 330e and my 2018 530e and all functions perfect. However, I got last month my 2020 530e with new i7 primitive software and the App has only half of the functions working. I called the 800 number several times and put many service tickets but nothing yet. Genius line had no solution either. The problem is the APP is not compatible with the new cars at all.

Pure Potential

Mkgi5

This app definitely has potential but falls very short from being anything great at this moment and time... The app is a great idea and a great way to compete with other vehicles in the market! However that being said it is an utter flop! My friend owns a 2019 Dodge Challenger he has the ability to start and lower the temperature on his vehicle! So during the summer that Is an incredible feature to have before you enter the car! The BMW Connected App has the ability to “ventilate” your car! NO TEMP CONTROL, Just ventilation with warm/cool air! That’s it!?! Of course as you have read as well the app has many glitches and struggles sending the requests as simple as locking/unlocking the car... At this point and time having the app doesn’t make a huge difference however it does have potential to be a good app should BMW listen to the reviews and work on the bugs and expand the options of controlling your vehicle via app!

Useless app!

Efasantos

It doesn’t work properly. Talked to the “geniuses” several times. No resolution whatsoever. Shameful!

My car is a 2015 model. The app did not work well then. BMW has not improved it. They should scrap it and start over. It is terrible.
