I give an origin, then destination, then expect Amtrak to figure out my options to get there without success. Leaves you hanging.

Sometimes my tickets show up in the app, sometimes they don’t. And sometimes that disappear.


Mindless App with no instruction, guess what entries I need

Application is useless to setup an account you need to enter a password for your account. No instructions on what format it wants for the first password, but all entries get rejected with the only response being invalid password format, but no format instructions are given or identified in the app instructions. This basically makes the app useless except for taking up space on your mobile device. I will be deleting it.

App will not let me view account or trips. Keeps says “ something went wrong, log out and log back in”. That doesn’t work.

Hello dear app devs and product managers ? as your fellow product person, I have a quick suggestion! if you could make it easy for your users to make a purchase that would improve the user experience tremendously! think about “buy now” button on amazon. let me select default options and in the future all I should do is to select my time/seat and confirm my purchase. At the moment, I need to make selections that will never change, I will NEVER have a pet with me, I will NEVER buy insurance, and why do I have to select my birthday each time?! (this is something new I have been asked recently) Even terms and conditions, you could cover this when you’re creating an account, and have the user agree again if things change. Please please save me and other passengers, hours every year! Thank you (and promise I will come back and change my star to 5 stars).

Great app, easy to book and cancel for a small fee you get most of your money back. Used this app to book a return train from winter park on the fly and it was no problem at all.


Worst site and app but great customer service

Apologies for the harsh words but this is the WORST online I have ever experienced-site and app It has been a horrible user experience for years. It’s not intuitive. My hope was that it would have improved over the pandemic. It’s the total opposite of your live customer service reps who are simply amazing. Unfortunately as the app and site don’t work well I have had to call customer service quite a bit. They are absolutely wonderful. Consider hiring an online expert to improve your user experience
