This doesn’t allow you to build a trip when there are portions that require bus trips in order to fill in the gaps where there are no trains. For instance, there is absolutely ZERO TRAIN SERVICE BETWEEN Boise Idaho and the West Coast. I live in San Diego, California, my trip consists of 48 hours and goes like this: Bus, Overnight Stay in Portland, Oregon, then Train, Bus, Train, Bus, Train. I could not find this information ANYWHERE on the app, all I got was a pop-up stating that there was no train service and I could not make a trip. I finally called their 800 number because only their agents could set up the trip. Then the agent, who was VERY HELPFUL mind you, sent me an email with a scan code AND a reservation number, BUT THIS APP presents ZERO ways to use either of these applications. So unless you have a single train, Train Trip without any transfers at all, this Amtrak App will not work for you. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME & ENERGY trying to make it work, also, their website is just as fraught with the same pitfalls. You need to CALL AN AGENT.

I received an email from sight stating app does not work for pass riders after I was previously successful in doing so. I now discovered if signed in too long you lose the ability to book a pass rider reservation. Solution? Sign out and sign back in and pass rider option becomes available again.

I needed to make a change - all had to do was call - customer service responded quickly. I made the change and they sent an email with my updated ticket. Wonderful!!!!

They recently updated this app and I love the new updates and the Apple Pay compatibility!

As a station caretaker - the status update is messed up. There is a visual blockage above the arrival/departure times. Also, now (from left to right) arrival time is listed after the departure time. I would think this would be confusing for passengers that glance at it - as it is for me - and I know better. Otherwise the app is a great tool and generally works well. So low rating is for update.

Can never order tickets because app will logout but then app shows I’m still logged in. App is only useful for tickets already purchase.

Just went on the app on my iPad to look at booking another trip. It won’t let me click on anything. Won’t even let me log out. It lets me sign in, but that is it. What a huge disappointment and very frustrating. The app worked a few months ago when I booked a trip.
