Poor

RiesJM

Needs the bugs worked out. Government subsidized company...makes senses for a poor app.

Couldn't be worse!

MarshWildman

The app won't show your tickets unless you input the reservation number. Even if you're logged in to the app!

Cannot locate timetables on this app.

App works smoothly! Downeasterer tickets were easy peasy ...

Impossible to explore

byrnes3969

The task of creating a trip from one state to another by a new or inexperienced train rider seems impossible to complete without calling Amtrak on the phone. People must have prior knowledge of routes, stations, dates, policies in order to get any use out of this app. There is very little help, no helpful videos or tips and its "new customer unfriendliness" turned me sour on trying Amtrak at all.

Some item

App is just alright, fair

Good to add time zones Good to list separate stops on each line and their status

Very user unfriendly

Try again

Great, with one caveat

Ulysses_Heart

This is a really good app. The only major drawback is - if you take Amtrak a lot as I do - having to constantly re-input your credit card # every single time you buy a ticket. Why doesn't this app have what every other purchasing app has: an ability to store your credit card #. It seems like such a no brainier that would make this a lot more efficient to use.

Slow, unreliable. Poor eTicket functionality.

TuneLvr07

Amazing. Amtrak has made an app that is as slow and unreliable as its trains. Login is slow, often fails. No way to add tickets to Apple wallet or download to device, so when login fails you have no way to display your e-ticket to the surly conductor.

Poor, poor app

Haxtun

Like the web app, this one is poorly planned and user UNfriendly. They have assumed that anyone that uses it knows ALL about the Amtrak system. Where is the route information so you can plan a trip, o wait, it is on Wikipedia, so we don't need to include that info. This app is obviously done like their track maintenance, half-assed and as cheap as possible.
