Built to be difficult

Not-Mozart

Not just the app, and trust me there’s no sign a UX designer was on this project, not just the business, but the entire medical insurance industry is designed to make life difficult. Cigna, nor any insurance company, keeps your medical records. You have to start over every time you start a new job, you have to remember everything. You should EVER get paperless service because then nobody has your medical records. Medical records are not a real concept in the USA, instead one of your current doctors has a file, like in 1930 and the internet didn’t exist. Worse, even if you’re lucky enough to keep a job for a few years nobody shares any information. It’s basically health care providers’ rejection of responsibility in anything helpful to public health. What an incompetent company in an incompetent industry in a country where people think capitalism makes sense in this industry. How on earth is 1997 technology infrastructure a good thing? Basically this app is a call-to-action to move to a country that actually cares about their citizens and promotes wellness through incentives in healthcare tech — which is the exact opposite of this 1997 looking pathetic app. You can’t even book an appointment online, not even request via email. Only phone. They want you to suffer and not have a doctor look at you, they understand which way is people’s least favorite means of communication and they exploit that so they don’t have to pay for your Dr visit.

App started downloading then stopped

LaRolaLoka

I tried downloading the app and it didn’t work. It stopped downloading as soon as it started, and I got a message telling me to try again later. I did, and it still didn’t work. It’s as if this app was broken.

App doesn’t work

jp2sweet4u

I have a claim open and it is only showing coverage and wellness. Live chat doesn’t work. I can’t access anything about my claim. No forms or anything. Then to wait on hold to get hold of someone for 30-45 minutes

The app doesn’t work

Les9779

I can log in online, the app never works.

Sets up a dysfunctional MDLIVE account that Doesn’t work with the MDLIVE app.

Ninja Bravo

I’ve set up accounts for my wife and son in the CIGNA app. When I try to use the MDLIVE services, it won’t let us switch to my wife or son. My wife can log in on the CIGNA website but not on the app, it says her account isn’t registered and I need to acknowledge her as a dependent, but that already shows in my account. When I call the tech support number it sends me to MD live and they say to download the MDLIVE app which doesn’t acknowledge my Cigna account info. They then tell me to call Cigna and Cigna says it’s an MDLIVE thing and that the accounts are set up right. Worthless app and customer service.

App is Terrible

booey11

Although downloading this app and setting up my login was very successful—- the app itself is not helpful. After I log into my app successfully almost everything i try to use will say try back later. But if I go directly to their website I am able to use everything. I am using same device for both so its not a device issue!?!

Logging in

Try to login will not allow me to sign in at this time. Always a login issue.

Can’t print my ID cards

pkayPatrapolis

App can’t bring up my ID cards on screen or provide me with my dental ID #. Same with the website. Cigna doesn’t mail you cards anymore for dental coverage so the app and website are the only source for this info. Additionally, you can’t msg or e-mail the tech support team to troubleshoot these problems and you get caught in perpetual hold when you call the number for app support. Get it together Cigna. I don’t have all day to languish on hold waiting for your help!

Completely Outdated Provider Lists

C.Vegas

I have been attempting to contact providers which Cigna displays as in-network, accepting new patients, etc, etc. I have complete understanding that they may be unable to keep this list updated to the minute, but when I call providers or facilities and request to make an appointment, 7/10 times I get told this provider doesn’t work here anymore. The best answer I received was that a specific doctor hadn’t worked there in 5 years. Come on Cigna, get it together. You decide what to charge your insurance customers, if the money you’re charging us isn’t enough to manage your company properly, then charge more. If you’re just inept at running a business, then start handing out refunds or discounts. This is a disgrace to insurance providers and medical professionals through the country. Get it together. P.S. I try to do the right thing and notify you each time I come across incorrect information, so that someone else may not have to experience the same failures; but when I click on the “Let us know” button (which is directly referring to incorrect information in the listing) you re-route me, out of the app, into safari, I have to login again and to then have to find the provider again and go through the whole process again is just ridiculously cumbersome. Another sign that you are not able to manage an app as it should be in the 21st century.

Lack of information

IamULAW

The information I should have available on this app, is not available. I want to look at my health benefits and they’re not on the app. I wanted to look at my contribution to my Flex Spending Account, and it’s not on this app. If I can’t have that information, the app is worthless.
