I have a large family. My 3 adult children, a son-in-law, a high school sophomore, my husband and myself. (Along with two dogs and 3 cats) We have recently moved, started a new school, high school basketball, PTA, and a VERY busy life. My mother bought me the unlimited yearly membership as an early Christmas present this year...it has been a LIFE SAVER! I have literally done my grocery shopping via the Instacart App while waiting in my car for my daughter after school. The shoppers are AMAZING! They communicate with me and go above and beyond. One shopper even “Chatted” with me to let me know an item on my list was on sale, and if I purchased one more it would actually save me money! I can’t say enough about this app and I hope it continues to be useful to many more people. I would recommend this to ANYONE! Young or old! THANK YOU Instacart! You have helped me look like I have at least one area of my life together! ?

With virtually zero customer service Instacart is a great concept but definitely not ready to be a reliable source. Did you have customer service agents, however they are not authorized to do anything, literally anything. Do not use Instacart if you were in a hurry. Do not use Instacart if you need the items that you want to order. If you do use it like me despite the giant wreck it can be know this; Change the "service fee" into the tip by clicking on it. Apparently the shoppers make 1.50 per trip so change that 10% to a tip ( You can tip on top of that too)

I used this app twice before it was awesome . I placed an order Monday for a Tuesday 6-7pm delivery. I got an email saying my delivery was running late and would come 7:15-7:45. It’s 9:40 I just got an email saying it was rescheduled for tomorrow at 7-8pm BAD customer service. (If I wanted my delivery a day later I could have just gone myself .) So next day comes should be here between 9-10am he doesn’t show so I go to work he comes half hour late. The food sat outside all day the squirrels ate the bread. To make matters actually comical I start going through the stuff and the order is actually nothing of what I ordered. He replaced lentils with lasagna . He replaced vegan butter for regular butter and I have 3 bags of granola ? Unbelievable !

I bought $95 in groceries, the woman who delivered them was lovely, and I tipped her $10 in the app afterwards. All is cool until I look at my bank account and I've been charged an ADDITIONAL $130 over the $95 in groceries and $10 tip. I called Instacart who unapologetically said this is their regular billing practice to add an additional $130 hold on all purchases to make sure your card won't be declined. This. Is. Ridiculous. Never ordering from Instacart again.

Love insta cart! The family I nanny for have been using the app for a long time, so I decided to try it out. Super easy, free first time delivery and found a code to get $10 off my first order. Groceries came within a couple hours of checkout. Tipping is optional and you can waive the service fee!

I had never had to call the customer support number until one night my order seemed too late. I called the specific store to ask about my order to no avail. The person listed to bring my delivery looked like a young girl. I was concerned something might have happened to her. Then I checked my “Order Status” and saw that my order was listed as having been delivered 2 hours before! I called CUSTOMER SUPPORT! Below I detail what happened that made me want to go right out and buy stock in InstaCart: By then it was after 10:00 pm. A gentleman answered my call on about the 3rd ring. Wow! That was a shock. I didn’t even get a machine. A REAL PERSON answered immediately. I told him my order was listed as delivered,, but I had not gotten it. The amazing part was I didn’t have to tell him ANYTHING! Apparently from my Incoming call he had my order in front of him. He started trying to get my order re-delivered right then. By then it was almost 10:30. I said, “Are you trying to get my order to me tonight. It is too late” He replied, “Yes. I’m going to try!” Then he said it would be delivered first thing the next morning, and - for the inconveniences, I would get a credit for the full amount of my bill!. I have never in my life had such an easy time when reporting a problem of any kind. Customer Service makes a company. InstaCart has the most state of the art reporting system I’ve ever experienced. I was not asked one single question! We all dread reporting a problem, thinking we need our order number, a list of items , etc. NO..,I did not need to give any information at all. My issue was immediately resolved, and I was compensated for my time. It doesn’t get any better than that!

Crazy pricing!

I was willing to pay $150 for the year for "free delivery". However you still have a service charge, have to tip your delivery person AND prices on instacart are MORE than the store. My receipt from Costco was $219.19. My receipt from Instacart was $294.38 (before giving a tip!) When I contacted customer service they said "sorry, we will refund your service fee of $26 but prices change and we can't help that. They still made $50 bucks off of me. No thanks! My time is important but so is my money. Geez!

Automatic Service Fee

The automatic 10% service fee, if it is truly optional, doesn’t need to be auto populated at the end of the order. When getting ready to place an order, one has to scroll down from the main screen to see it is there. If food items where guaranteed to be same as the in store price, I could more understand the service fee.

Amazing Service! From order to delivery took about an hour and a half. Less time than it would of taken me to pack my kids up and go to the store and back. Highly recommended!
