Lots of fees!

The customer service of your delivery service or shopper make this a wonderful service, but Instacart has lots of fees at checkout. $5.99 delivery or $1.99 to pick up your groceries $5.28 service fee (I’m sure this calculated) Plus the gratuity ON TOP of these fees!! Too many fees, otherwise it would be great, but it’s not.

With my granny in a different state and not always able to make it to the store for her groceries, this is an awesome way for her to get what she needs without the hassle of her getting out to get them herself. Yes some store have higher prices then Instore but that is due to them having to pay their shoppers and delivers. We have never had a problem with any order. If you use your first delivery as a free delivery, I highly recommend you check your account status because it is a trial period and they WILL charge you $149 unless you cancel! Also, the service fee does not go to the shopper/driver it goes straight to Instacart. The tip is for the shopper/driver.

It’s great but the swaps aren’t always right

I’ve been really happy with Instacart overall, as a new Mom that also works I’ve found it really helpful to get grocery shopping done from my phone. There have been some really bad swaps in my orders. The worst swap was getting the flossers meant for braces instead of the regular ones. They’re basically unusable. But on a busy weeknight it’s great to have the food brought to you, and it’s harder to have the random craving thrown in the cart!

As a full time employee, wife and mother of 2 tweens who are growing and eating up everything in the house, this service is an absolute God send! I would give it 5 stars if they shopped at BiRite on Belair Road in Baltimore...then again it deserves 5 stars anyway!!! The App works great! The communication with the shopper! Everything!

I am home caring for a post knee replacement patient. I can’t leave the house and I prefer my groceries fresh. This app and shopping at Publix has been a life saver!!

This is the fifth time I’ve been using Instacart. I am disabled and it’s very taxing on me to go through the aisles of the grocery store although I can do it. It is so much better to have someone shop for you. The shopper stays in touch with you and if there is a problem they will automatically text you for instructions. I’ve called the corporate number several times With questions or comments and they always are very helpful and nice. I highly recommend this service. I look forward to a time when they have even more stores and maybe restaurants that they can shop for and bring to your doorstep. I’m loving this. Lyn Reynolds-Johnson,attorney-at-law

The app does not allow you to add items that are not listed and it says there are promo codes you can add in when you do you don’t see a discount.

This app has potential but maybe they’re still too new. There seem to be logistical issues depending on what area you live in and where your shopper can shop. Your options are limited as well - they don’t offer everything that’s in the actual store. It also TAKES FOREVER! Def do not use this platform if you need things by a certain time. They’ll charge you extra for delivery “within one hour” or “within two hours” but then will NOT deliver by that time and still charge you. Some of their delivery fees are quite high as well. Definitely won’t be using this app once I no longer have a broken leg. It’s not that great.
