After one try, I’m definitely going to continue to order with Instacart. The app has so many great features, like being able to communicate with the shopper/carrier about the items that I wanted or that weren’t in stock. It updated real time to let me know which items he had gotten and which ones he was still searching for. I felt like I was right there shopping with him. Plus, it was delivered way faster than the expected time frame! The pricing for delivery for an entire year is better than others that I’ve seen, especially if it saves me from having to take the bus to the grocery and then lug all my groceries home (since I don’t own a car).

I’ve been using Instacart for a few months and loved the convenience, but a shopper accidentally included the paper receipt from Whole Foods with my order today. It showed that Instacart prices were 10-15% higher than what was on my paper receipt. I only thought to check after a similar complaint from a friend I had recommended the app to. Very disappointed that on top of the annual fee, service fee and tip that they are making an additional profit by not pricing transparently. Canceled my membership today.

I keep receipts of what I buy and checked several items I usually buy and compared prices.. $2.20 extra just for a coffee from costco. I always pay $9.99 for the 3lbs Kirkland Colombian coffee and is $12.19 through this app. They give you a free membership trail and then $150 membership.. Not worth it

Instacart will always get 5 stars from me but, the tiniest thing happened today that caught me off guard. A “bogo” item was overlooked. Bought one item & didn’t get the other. Maybe I didn’t request the correct # or quantity that I needed...? I’m not sure just yet, but I was immediately asked how I wanted to be credited for the missing item. Regardless, Instacart always comes to my rescue whenever I’ve need anything. There awesome!

Use to use Vons online delivery for my 93 year old mom. This service is so much easier and she gets her groceries in 2 hours!

Sometimes the shoppers are AMAZING and figure out substitutions well. Sometimes I get the veggies but not the meat / chicken, so I have to go to store after Instacart comes.

Not only is the markup on Instacart RIDICULOUS, like 20-40% (!!!) (orange juice being 80% sometimes!) plus a delivery fee, cheapest being $4 and add tip on top, you're essentially tacking on $10-$15 onto already high priced groceries. The high prices could actually even be worth it if they actually delivered you the right groceries!! I've been sick with the flu and ordered Instacart the past 2 days out of necessity. But wait they have now messed up my order BOTH TIMES each day and I have gotten my groceries mixed in with someone else's. I'm missing half my order and stuck with items I'm going to have to throw away causing unnecessary waste. With how much they're profiting they should at least do their one job right.
