Spam calls
Paul Siloco

Since I joined google fi, I’ve been getting scam calls every 30mins on my phone despite activating spam protection through the app. This is becoming frustrating and I may end up canceling my service.

Bad covers
no service Dunnellon

The coverage map showed service in my area. Not good service. No Wi-Fi calling either.

Google Fi has gone downhill, sadly
don a user

Google Fi was an incredible service with a lot of innovations. Unfortunately: (a) no 5G support for iPhones, (b) competitors have caught up, and (c) CS has gone downhill - I was traveling in Mexico and on day 5 of a day 8 trip, they randomly stopped my service telling me that I could only use Google Fi "predominantly" in the US, and now my service would only restart when I return from my vacation on Sunday. I had been traveling to some outskirt cities near CDMX, imagine if I had been stuck where I couldn't use my Google Translate app. I get that some PM @ Google thought they were being clever to save money, but I signed up for T-Mobile Magenta Plus plan as I was finishing up my chat with Google Fi CS. I used to recommend Google Fi to everyone (NPS = 10), but as I sit here abandoned by the service I once loved, I'm left with nothing but disdain for the service. Do better, Google Fi. Do better.

Horrible for iPhone users
teresa.wang

Just horrible, crashes all the time, full of bugs, I cannot believe a company like google isn’t incredibly embarrassed to have something like this on the market. This is embarrassing even compared to all the other phone company’s crappy apps.

Pretty close to unlimited.

Service was great up until about the 20 gig mark. Then the data was pretty much not there, crazy slow. Luckily my cycle ends soon and I’m hoping this fixes my issues. Still 5 stars. All day long.

I pay for unlimited data but you limit my data usage anyway. I’m switching to another provider

Even when you didn’t restrict my data the Wi-Fi connections were poor , now they are so slow it’s intolerable and renders devices unusable . Completely unacceptable unacceptable, sorry you gotta go if you can’t perform.

Support not helpful
Taziar

Been using the service almost since it came out, originally with a nexus 6. Recently ran into an issue with a second line moving to a new phone, and had to contact support. The app won’t function to activate a new e-sim, and support can’t do anything about it. Second level support is via email only, and they respond every 2-3 days making issues impossible to resolve once they get to second level support. It’s time for me to find another provider.

Decent

It works even though it does have full features on iOS. “It’s still in beta” should not be something Google says after years. That being said good luck tracking your SIM card shipment. While my express shipping was delivered in the timeframe Google promised, FedEx shipped it almost all the way to me overnight, just to return it halfway back across the country and then back again making it late by FedEx standards. -1 star for still beta, -1 for charging overnight shipping using a carrier that can’t seem to keep it together.
