Intentionally bad on iPhone?

Nimdae

I recently switched to iPhone after my pixel 2 died and google wasn’t going to cover it. Getting the iPhone set up was made straightforward, which was nice. However you have to use the fi app to manage voicemails. The experience with the fi app is bad. Actions constantly are undone. Even marking a voicemail read results it being unmarked after a few seconds. Since this is the primary function of the app for an iPhone user this just causes the app to be a bad overall experience.

Love it.

My wife has a iPhone and I have a tablet . Great service, great price. Did have some minor issues setting up voice mail, worked thru it ourselves and it work wonderfully.

Is work very good in anywhere

Always has LTE connection, and works so fast, five star!

No eSIM support?

VTCifer

Why no eSIM support? Google offers eSIM on pixel but not iPhone? Multiple updates to the app but still no eSIM support like all other major carriers. If google wants to play with the big boys it should get its act together.

Constant voicemail notifications

After latest update the app always shows voicemails. I open it and marks them read and back to unread and back to read. Please fix this

Date slows down like crazy.!

Kronez47

I understand that you know you have a set limit of free data and after that it slows down but holly molly it goes from Amazing 4g/5g to 3g right away it’s not even funny how long it takes to load. Maybe it’s just me but that’s ridiculous I expected something better for $150 a month, honestly it would be a shame to leave google fi just because of that since other then that when data’s at zero it’s amazing. Hope it’s an issue you guys can work on and maybe idk at least let us get some good 4g

Strange Issues

WhatsWithAirplanes

Voicemails don’t always play. And when they do play, it’s 50/50 whether they’ll be garbled. Sometimes text messages don’t go through.

Bra, worst!

It’s the middle of 2019 and google can’t figure this out? I do not recommend them to anyone. Biggest regret of my life... switching from last cell provider to google Fi.

Unbelievable service. Amazing.

If you can follow well written, clearly displayed instructions. You can install a Google+ Wi-Fi chip. And you can make the modifications to your phone settings that are required to make your phone work with this amazing, pleasing, fast as lightning and blinding speeds service. I’m beyond impressed. I have been struggling with the high cost of phone lines and data plans. Recently lost my home and my husband and I could not afford a traditional cell-phone plan. While researching alternate cell-phone companies we were left the the ultimate decision of no cell service due to cost. When my husband came across Google Fi Wi-Fi. We were impressed to find out that for $10 or if you were patient and waited for it to be delivered to us that we would receive a Google Fi chip that could be placed in our iPhone X and iPhone 7 Plus. We had low expectations because Google did very clearly manage those expectations by saying that these two phones were experimental at the time. But we could afford the monthly bill that Google offered and something was better than nothing. I have to say that as a person who was the director of technology for over 30 years and worked in the industry of providing high speed service. What I was to see after installation of these chips has impressed me and change me more than you can imagine. Now we have ama omg we have amazing download speeds of 30 to 60 Mb per second. But wait there’s more. We have incredible upload speeds of 30 to 50 Mb per second. We can play video games on our XBox One, like destiny on two separate boxes without having one hiccup! We can use the hotspot feature. We can tether we can do everything that the phone companies are charging us an arm and a leg for no additional fee. Google, thank you so much for giving my husband and I a way out of no connectivity and bridge for future opportunities. We have not seen Google via Wi-Fi advertise anywhere but I’m telling you something right now. I am going to tell all my friends and my family, anyone who will listen to what I have to say. You need to switch over because this service is amazing. I have coverage in places I never had coverage before and I have speeds we could only achieve at home or by wifi. Google, again thank you thank you for thinking of a little person and thank you for giving us a little bit of our life back and making it so that we could afford it and still have a meal! Google, again showing that you care about the little guy. Kyle and Luis Ps. I never write reviews. I had to here. I’m that impressed. Great full and beyond happy.
