People seem to be rating this poorly because of service issues, and this is a new product so there’s going to be room for improvement. However, you can’t beat their pricing model and this is one of the most ambitious projects the company has engaged in. Cut them some slack. The app itself is well-engineered, way easier to use than related apps like myAT&T, and it deserves 5 stars.

I've had the service for about 5 months and am really impressed. I love the prices I'm paying now compared to what I had to pay for my previous carrier. The process was quick and painless and didn't require much on my end. The service is mostly reliable aside from 1-2 dropped calls from my location. The new voicemail update was much needed. Still wish all the phone features (specifically voicemail) were fully integrated into the native iPhone phone app. Otherwise, I'm satisfied with what's there.

I have been very happy with service. Been with GoogleFI for 4 months. I use very little data so I save because they charge per usage, up to a set limit. And the new Visual Voicemail feature works great! Plus I love the text transcription of voicemails.

Works great. All providers are good some places but not all. We used our phones in the Bahamas. Great service and we saved a bunch!! And it is less expensive than our last plan(s).
Not sure why I must have Google Fi App downloaded

on my iPhone 7 Plus, if the device is 1- incompatible with google 2- does not give me access to all the google fi settings that can be found on the web 3- nor allows me to adjust the settings. I was well aware of my iPhones incompatibility with google fi, before I signed up. And in a seemingly lapse of judgement, that I figure stems from sporadic moments of being overzealous and frugal I choose google fi regardless of the serious pitfalls and shortcomings in network security, secure access to text messages and voicemail, and data. AND That’s not all folks, if you had and used a google voice/hangouts account, and choose to keep and transfer the same google voice/hangouts voip number to the google fi cellular, like I did then google fi support is just about rendered useless. On three separate occasions with support, twice via chat and once via phone- I was told by support that the now defunct google voice department is the only one who can change and or remove settings that might conflict with google fi settings. And that there is absolutely now way, at all to simply delete a google voice account, unlink google voice/hangouts from my google fi account, and change voice settings that I no longer have access too.
