Dumb idea!

Hollib63

I’ve had this thing a couple of days now. Unbelievably dumb idea and execution. First, I’ve had issues with bluetooth connection. Then didn’t keep connected. And it keeps hot only for while. It is way too involved for keeping your hot beverages hot. And the price!!! No thanks. Our world is getting ridiculous with bluetooth devices! You know what doesn’t fail to keep my beverages hot and for a long time without fiddling with electronics?! A thermos!! I’m going back to my Zojirushi thermos. Pour in morning and still hot at 6:00 PM!!

Horrible Customer Service

CannonCanAm

My mug hasn’t arrived and I have had no response to my requests. Horrible Service.

The mug & app works great! Except...

I love the app and the user interface... it is simple and intuitive. I see myself manually turning of the heat using the spinner quite often ( for example - If I choose to discard my cup of joe). It will be nice if there was a “turn off” preset

Loving it

I used to microwave my coffee all the time. This solves it! Battery could last longer but it’s still awesome. Please improve how you display battery life! You shouldn’t have to click the App -> Settings to view it. Please place it on the main view, add a widget to quickly view it, or view when Force Touching the app.

Ceramic mug will not pair. I love it. I just needed to be warmer. I bought it yesterday at Starbucks. Before I buy it I did a lot of investigating. YouTube videos are horrible. Customer service does not respond. They make you read the serial number on the bottom of the cup which is so tiny it's impossible. I finally got an email off to this morning and no response. Looks like I'll try to take it back. The indicator lights they say never do flash. Other than the charge.

Requires a babysitter

This app requires constant manual reconnection with the mug. Almost every time I open the app I have to manual reconnect to the mug, which most of the time either gives me an error or just hangs until I force quit the app and reopen to find my mug is magically connected once again. Will give 5 stars once the app/mug can be paired in a one time setup that allows me to open the app and have the mug already connecting by itself or connected. This includes improvement to the watch app connectivity. Leaving the watch app idle for a few minutes requires manually opening the phone app to reconnect.

Very intrusive app

You need to “sign up” to use the app. Really? I’ve already paid for the mug and now I need to give my email and/or Facebook to control its temperature? Also, the app requests access to track the phone’s location. Why does it need that?

Out of the box experience

1) Ember mug does not pair with cell phone. Cellphone needs the ember app. 2) App does not pair with mug. App needs a connection to the internet. 3) Internet is working. Pairing still does not work. Email and password needed to create an Ember account. 4) Mug in trash. App deleted. 5) Enjoying coffee from my old mug.

Very Impressed

Product does what it advertises - I am pleasantly surprised with the whole experience. The App works great and I had absolutely no issues setting everything up. This is by far one of the best gifts I have received in a long time.

Not worth a star. Complete rip-off.

Someone is doing an experiment to see how many people will pay $79 for a non working mug
