One hour battery time

casratt

That’s crazy. It should last eight hours. And the mug is far too small. Although I would settle for the cup size if the battery lasted longer. The saucer should be waterproof. It’s not reasonable to expect a coffee cup to always be totally dry on the bottom. This is a great idea but as others have said it has been poorly executed so far. For $15 I would expect this quality. For $80 we need a product for people who take coffee seriously and want what this product advertises to be.

Perked up my mornings!

Amazing! I love it!!! This was a Christmas gift I’d never have bought myself because I usually shun everything unnecessarily electronic since electronic hardware all seem to break too easily and smart internet enabled devices that require pairing have crappy software that wastes too much time keeping it working for you (just returned 8 smart plugs because they wouldn’t work in concert- after wasting three hours on hold and talking with various customer service people who could only read over and over from the same instruction manual because they had no idea how the devices worked and so i clue how to solve the problem except to keep asking if i was sure I’d updated the firmware) Anyway- this thing works! It’s easy to set up and it works. I sure hope it lasts a few years at least.

Horrible Software

Now cannot connect to my iPhone. Worked for about a week. After about 10 minutes, finally got the flashing blue light. iPhone says says it is Bluetooth connected. Ember app says not. I wasted my money.

Very cool(?) mug!!

The Ember mug is quite a nice device! I love how it regulates my coffees temperature! The app here is great, for the most part! The recent update has apparently messed up the connection to my app on my Apple Watch though! It always states: “Issue with Connection to iPhone “

Re-Pair this device!

Aphroditebeaming

Love the ember, hate that I have to re-pair the device to the app after every time I leave.

App is buggy

Quackman2

App has hard time staying connected to mug, will not automatically reconnect. When you try to connect app will say make sure mug is on and in range, well the mug is on and right next to me. So you either have to reset the mug or restart the app. Restarting the app may or may not work. For a $80 cup this thing should be perfect. Unless they get the software figured out I won’t be getting the travel mug at $149. Besides at a 12 oz capacity it’s too small for a travel mug, it should hold at least a Grande (16 oz) drink with a little room to spare.

POS

I suppose if you’re reading this review that means you’ve already spent your hard earned money on this piece of crap. I’ve been playing with mine for about three hours and cannot get it to pair. The website is horrible and the help seems to be sorely lacking. Maybe the app is awesome! If only I could get it to work! I got this as a Christmas gift and today was the first chance I’ve had to look at it. I feel bad for the person who gave it to me. I know she meant well.

Ember is either junk or a hoax

Rickh619

Was given to me for Christmas. First time it paired with my iPhone. But since, it first didn’t recognize the mug, now it recognizes the mug, but won’t pair. Yes, I took time to read the instructions. But the usefulness of the product is extremely underwhelming to waste the time or effort to either return or contact the company. If you’re looking to get, mine will be at Goodwill this afternoon.

Great concept, pathetic app

TennisNinjaJT

Worked great for a week and then app fails to connect, even after upgrading app and mug firmware. Please fix this soon otherwise this will get relegated to the dustbin of forgotten but great concepts.

Not reliable

Eats Out Always

Loses the connection almost every day. I seem to have to reinstall the app to get it to work. Tiresome.
