I love the concept but I don’t like the fact that I have to use an app to control it

I love the concept but I don’t like the fact that I have to use an app to control it . I have a hard time pairing it

Poor connectivity
Darnthing

Great idea, poor bluetooth and battery performance. Wait for the next version

Must create an acct to drink coffee - lame!
Chess master - not

When signing in for the first time be sure to create an account. I don’t know why one needs an account to drink coffee, but you have to surrender your email to use the app. Ember is a company trying to aggregate contact info for future marketing efforts - theirs or someone else’s.

Mug works; app not so much
RainDodger

Generally speaking, my Ember mug works pretty well. The app however, is pretty flaky. It did notify me one time that my drink had reached the correct temp, but no longer does that. Bluetooth connectivity is pretty poor as well. I can have my phone in one hand and the mug in the other, and it fails to connect. If the reliability and stability of the app improves , it would be a nice package, but as it is, it’s too expensive for what you get. I will of course continue using it, as the mug works as-is. Battery life needs to be better but it suits my needs.

Connection issues drive me mad
Now Insane

Had the mug for 4 weeks and ready to toss it out the window. I am supposed to be working and end up spending time daily trying to get it to connect

I Don’t Want Your Notifications

I was serious the first five times I said no.

Hardware is Great | App Lacks Functionally
Ballin_Aviator

I have the Ember ceramic mug (cup) and it does the job at keeping coffee warmer while sitting at my desk and I get distracted when work gets busy. The battery life is not the greatest, so I keep the charging stand in the office with me. App wish list for easier functionality • widget on the lock screen • force touch on the app icon • Siri shortcuts • Apple Watch complication

Can’t live with out my new mug!

Love my new travel mug , nothing like having your coffee pipping hot on a chilly day! Wish the battery was a little better but not a deal breaker looking to get the beautiful mug next.

Good
Innovat0r

I have two mugs (one is my wife’s) and have no issues. App is really very well done and HealhKit integration is what I always wanted. But where is Siri shortcuts support? P.S. I still can’t get used that solid white LED means mug is charging. I would prefer blinking green or yellow color. Also, I would like to see blinking red if mug battery is low.

Always sucked but even worse now

This app has always been awful but it got the job done. It allowed me to connect to the mug and control the temperature. The most recent update now forces you to make an account after pairing your mug, and refusing to allow any control until you’ve done so. That’s it. I’m done. Bad app and bad product.
