This device makes a excellent battery recharge, it doesn’t respond to command, many steps to find the content, the WiFi is like slow, the cable supplied is specially designed if you loose it good luck find another. But, to me the dealbreaker is, no, support, I can no find any one from this company to give me some guidance in the how this thing works

I really expected much better from WD. App is just plain awful and only kinda sorta works some of the time. Now they have abandoned support and are urging me to upgrade to their new and improved OS5. That will require purchasing a new MyCloud. At this point I can’t really see buying into more disappointment and frustration. Perhaps if WD had made even mediocre attempt at a modern GUI I might be willing…

Dissatisfied that WD cannot keep the same stuff for people who dont like change. So I guess ill be buying anything but WD stuff from now on.

WD does not stand by its products. They’ve decided to stop support for My Cloud Home and the instructions for safeguarding my data are truly confusing. Of course the company wants the users to buy a new back up drive! I am never again going to fall into that trap. There are many other products that are superior.
Useless after last update...

Something went wrong... This is all the app does after the last update. I had to find a different way to access the drive without using the app.
What happened to the folder system?

Every time I go through my app on any device that isn’t my laptop, I get an error message that says “invalid operation: a file already exists...etc.” Why is this happening all of a sudden? And it’s just for a particular folder set which happens to be my photography work, which is the most important folder I have. If it’s not my laptop I simply cannot access them. Please fix this or help me understand why this is happening WD!
HEIC compatibility??

When will this become compatible with the HEIC photo format, so I can view my backed up photos in the app? Disappointed that it’s been three years (2017-2020) and it’s still not compatible.

Over the past year I am no longer able to establish a stable connection to the MyCloud Drive. With no alternate way to rescue my files, I may never be able to recover irreplaceable information and file collections.

The app is buggy, slow and poorly designed. The photo backup feature doesn’t even work. Support links are janky. This is the kind of app that can only come from people who don’t really care.
