I’ve had this app for a while and it is pretty much worthless. I have a WD harddrive connected to my network. It’s unstable when I am not home. Files take forever to load. Pictures preview, forget it! They need someone to develop a good app.

I have invested too much time troubleshooting this myself and through chats and email with WD support. They urged me to get phone support which I tried twice and gave up each time after being on hold for 30+ minutes. Multiple times their support people asked me for information I had given them before. Then there was the rabbit hole of them telling me what was no longer supported since the time I first bought their product. The backup device on my PC still works. Their app does not. When I googled the problem I was having, I saw I am not the only one.

Won't connect when I'm not at home, tells me there is no device selected when I am at home causing me to have to keep logging in, would expect much better.

If I did not have this application I would not be able to access any of my files. I have a personal cloud device that stores everything. This app allows me to have access all my files or photos from all my devices.

Needs to add support for HEIC type files. Can’t see backed up iphone photos since 2018. Cmon wd is anybody at your company even using this app or service? None of them tested seeing iPhone pictures in this app? Pretty shoddy test cases not to support one of the most popular devices in the last 15 years. Lots of other usage bugs like first connect fails but simple pull down refresh reconnects no problem. How sad is it they couldn’t even try one reconnect when first connection fails.

The thumbnails are two small to see. Make them larger or make the app zoomable like everything else has been for years and years. Also any long name cannot be seen. Does anyone of your engineers even use your own products? I’ve been asking for years to fix these problems. Worst customer service ever!

I have mycloud NAS installed at my house. The app loses connection to the drive almost every day when I am out of the house. Even at home, drive doesn't show up on the app. The drive works when I access it using my PC from my home network. Without the benefit of accessing it from outside my home, I don't see any use for the NAS or the app.
