Garbage
No Left Turn
I just updated my desktop app on my Macbook and now I can’t access my drive from the app. Very unreliable and WD doesn’t provide an 800 number to call.
Needs support for HEIC

Needs to add support for HEIC type files. Can’t see backed up iphone photos since 2018. Cmon wd is anybody at your company even using this app or service? None of them tested seeing iPhone pictures in this app? Pretty shoddy test cases not to support one of the most popular devices in the last 15 years. Lots of other usage bugs like first connect fails but simple pull down refresh reconnects no problem. How sad is it they couldn’t even try one reconnect when first connection fails.

I can’t believe i have an SSD that is slow as heck to use. It’s nice to be able to back up my SD cards but its such a pain to get access to the files on this device with my mac. I hope there is more tutorials on YouTube that I just not found yet. I wish i could just plug and play. not use this app to navigate files.

Just got an email from the WD that starting April 22 they will not grant access to this app and as a result I will no longer be able to access my information from out side of my home network, which means I can access my data only locally. Defeating the purpose of buying this kind of device!!

Ending support for MyCloud 3.0

Just like that you are ending support for WD 3 device. What makes you think that the money we put in the WD Cloud 3.0 device is worth less? All you security related excuses for your action are completely crap, unacceptable. Just because you want to earn more money, you cannot force us to purchase a new device. What is the guarantee that you will not end the support for WD Cloud 5.0 in future? Looks like this is a scam. This is an eye opener for all of us who purchased WD MyCloud 3 device. People may fall in to your money trap once but not again and again.
