The search process is fine. But I have had multiple issues when trying to book a place. It does not process the payment. I have had to go into the site through Google Chrome to make the reservation. Also, the customer service via phone is awful. No help whatsoever and hard to understand.

We booked a place out of state, upon arrival the place was trashed, looked nothing like the pictures, and they double booked us so we would’ve had to stay with strangers in the middle of a pandemic. We did not stay there one night. We sent pictures and a message to Vrbo describing the state of the place, just for them to tell us that it was up to the discretion of the homeowner (the scammer) to give us a refund. As I see it, they failed to do the one thing that these sites promise to do for the customer. Now I have a $2500 hole in my pocket to remind me never to use this joke of a business again.

VRBO disallows editing your review. Why? Be prepared for zero rationale and plenty of excuses. Even the most eloquent of authors have to edit their work. Some people have grammatical errors, some people forgot to mention a tip about the garage lever, maybe someone forgot to mention the ad price doesn’t match the charged price. No matter what, if editing is flat out rejected, a consumer should at least be able to delete and start over. It’s as if we’re to channel Moses and his chisel with everything we say nowadays. ?

I’ve used this site for years, both bookings and as an owner of a vacation rental. Tried booking a condo in Myrtle Beach a number of times with my AMEX and kept getting “book with a supported credit card” error. Finally used a VISA and voila, got it booked! What gives? I really like getting those points on my AMEX card. Your website says you accept AMEX so am a bit disappointed.

I’m not sure what happened, but on the page of the listing, it says that the total cost to book the place I selected was $580. When I go to make payment, the total is 643.75.I called customer service and they will do nothing about it. I call that a bait and switch!
