Don’t help guest get deposits back

I spent 2 months trying to get my deposit back and had to go through my credit card company to get it back. Vrbo customer service is crap and they do not help you get your deposit back rightfully. Booking confidence guaranteed is a lie. They did absolutely nothing to help. I would use air bnb or ANY other service. Canceling my account.

Great app but no customer service

I’m not able to talk to anyone about my booking but the host on the weekends. I called and got a voicemail. Would love for this to be looked over so that your customers (me) could have someone to discuss any issue that we have come up. Sometimes the host does not respond to any of my messages or calls. If there is another way to get a live customer service agent I have not found it yet. Thanks for any feed back on this. Over all good vacation app for me so far.


Great Rental Options and Prices

I typically start searching for vacation houses to rent on AirBNB for more than 12 people, but almost always choose a home here on VRBO. There seems to be more options and lower/reasonable prices. Covers all the bases and easy to find and book quickly.

If I could give them zero stars I would! I never post anything like this, but feel the need to save you all from making a huge mistake like I did. We booked a spring break trip for our family to go skiing in Ruidoso, New Mexico through Vrbo. Since my accident and not being able to ski due to broken ribs I had to cancel. I contacted Vrbo and explained to them my situation. They told me they were not able to cancel and could not refund me the money we had applied towards the rental. I then asked if I could apply that payment towards a future trip at a later date and they told me it had to be within 60 days. I said “you do realize we booked this trip for skiing and 60 days from now would put us smack dab in the middle of summer.” The guy told me that I could always find someone else to rent it and then they could refund me ? Bottom line is DO NOT GO THROUGH THEM FOR VACATION RENTALS!!! I am extremely disappointed in their customer service.


Cleaning fees

Why am I paying cleaning fees if I have to strip the bed and start a load of dishes for the place?


Needs property description search options.

I just had to reach out to the VRBO customer chat people to see if there was an option to search through the app for example properties with a “double master”. I was informed this was not an option. So my suggestion to you is to add a way to search/sort by specific kinds of beds and allow the search for a set number of those specific beds like you do for the beds/bathrooms options that pops up. (2kings, 1 queen, full, bunk bed, pull out bed, etc example). Add the option to search within your populated criteria for your own custom words that searches the owner’s descriptions for whatever word/words you search for to help better find key things and find the perfect property. Could also allow that custom search option with the reviews area. Seems like a simple task for todays app developers.


Avoid VRBO at ALL costs

Over the years I have spent thousands of dollars on rentals through VRBO. My most recent stay has caused me to end any further bookings through them. Customer service was terrible. I’m still waiting for a “supervisor” to return my call. I know I’m just one person and no longer using their service means nothing to them, but I encourage anyone reading this review to book your future trip with any other rental property service.


Latest “update” has rendered it useless

After the last update I can no longer log in to my app, which makes it useless. It used to be fairly flawless.
