Booked a house in Wisconsin in the summer, infested with bugs. The lake was disgusting. Not as advertised at all. Booked for 5 nights and didn’t even stay one. Host didn’t care and offered no refund and vrbo did nothing to help either. I won’t use this app again until they start holding host accountable.
Have had 2 trips booked months in advance cancelled by the property owners without valid reasons or acceptable excuses one of which cancelled my reservation and then relisted the same property for twice the rate I had booked fir 2 weeks later with no help from VRBO
The day before we were supposed to check in, the owner says the unit is not available and now I am having a difficult time getting my money back. The owner blames VRBO and VBRO blames the owner. Meanwhile I still have not received my money back and I had to pay top dollar for a last minute reservation from Airbnb, a site that actually works.
The app is very unresponsive and has significant delays when loading content. Regardless of network connectivity. Payment processing is manual and needs modernization.
My booking was up to be confirmed by the property up to 24 hours. It was canceled an hour before the 24 hours was up. There was no way to get a hold of the company. Thankfully I wasn’t charged. But I definitely should have read reviews about the company before I tried booking. They are accurate. There’s no way to get recourse when they fail you.
Horrible app. I hate using the app because it’s so slow and it has nothing to do with my wifi or service.

One could never say enough good things about the host or this property he without a doubt meets every challenge with extreme courtesy very quicklyAnd then ask what else he can do for you to make your stay as pleasant and your experience as pleasant and wonderful as possible one does not find that kind of customer service these days hardly anywhere. It truly was a unique experience very comfortable and had everything you need to make your vacation fantastic, I would stay with Captain Tony’s properties again and would definitely recommend them. Had to enter basic information multiple times. Would not accept credit card and tried to call help line with no luck (waiting almost 15 minutes on line) now incorrect dates recorded on reservation
