frustrated with vrbo design
While looking for places to visit, my husband and I shared via text. I was very disappointed that when i click d on a link, instead of being directed to the link, i was FORCED to download the app. Actually it gave me thee options. Copy and download app, download app without copying, lastly copy and download app. Thank you for wasting my time. I will now delete app until next time.

Buyer beware! I have experienced zero customer service to solve a cancellation and now out $2300. The home owner had agreed to a same day cancellation but VRBO has not assisted us to transact the refund after 3 weeks. I was trying to reunite with my military son and family after 2 years but had to do a cancellation on the same day we made the reservation, 2 weeks in advance of the 3 day stay, but he had to cancel. VRBO won’t refund the $2300 because we cancelled the same day we made the reservation even though the owner has agreed. Buyer beware!!!
Reservation with paid deposit meaningless

I booked a reservation for two people in a place that was advertised as accommodations for 4 people. My deposit was taken and I a received a reservation confirmation email from the host. When later I emailed the host that we would have 3 people instead of 2, there was no response. Then out of the blue, I received an email from the host that I needed to cancel my reservation because my dates weren’t available. WHAT?!?!?! I’ve used VRBO in the past without incident but if VRBO allows their hosts to just take deposits from people but continue to advertise at either a higher rate or a longer stay until they find something better, then VRBO is meaningless as a legitimate business. I can imagine if hotels, airlines or Airbnb did this also.

I rent out a condo on VRBO, and I’m sorry to say the iPad app is garbage. In the last five minutes, I have had to close out the app because the app provided no way to get out of the map screen, the amenities screen, among others. Each time I had to re-launch the app, search again for the same properties I just searched, and the problem keeps persisting. Very frustrating. Terrible implementation/design. VRBO really needs to fix this, or remove it from the App Store entirely. It’s a Hot Mess.

Properties never match photos then there’s no help. You pay a huge service fee and get no service. There’s no recourse with them. It’s an absolute trap.
