Turo is GREAT if you are looking for another source of income and quality service. Recommend 100%!

I’d rather pay the extra money and deal with a normal rental car company. Owners charge astronomical cleaning fees for leaving a crumb in the backseat. Got charged for tolls I didn’t go through. Skip Turo.

Breakthroughr

I was charged 150 + a 3% adman fee due to my host “claim” that the vehicle was dirtier upon return. Claiming animal fur was in the car, smoke smell and the upholstery was messed up! This is all a blatant lie to get more money, as I do not even smoke AND was the only one in the vehicle - I didn’t even eat food in the vehicle to avoid the smell. I had NOT one animal ever in the vehicle and even had the vehicle thoroughly cleaned inside and out! In fact I took pictures of every spot in and around the vehicle as evidence that it would be returned equal if not better than when I picked it up. Yet TURO did not follow up with me on all my proof, but instead listened to my host outlandish lie and extracted the $150 + from my account! I am flabbergasted to say the least! What kind of cleaning fee is that to begin with AND after I had paid for it cleaned and inspected beforehand. This is just absurd! Where is the accountability??? I will from here forward persuade people NOT to use TURO! I even left a good review when I left and found out later what my host did, then tried to retract that “good review” in order to warn people about this person, but was not even allowed to do this, which is irritating, because I can only imagine how many more person this fellow cons on the regular with his vehicles! TURO, with all the proof I submitted, where is the accountability!?? Return my money

I signed up for turo gave them my information and everything and when it was ready for me to rent a car I was restricted so I called turo The girl over the phone didn’t know why I was restricted she had me to text someone on the Turo website he didn’t know either so he said they gonna look into it ?... I just got my license so I have nothing on my history

Please be aware you will likely be charged obscene amounts for damage you did not cause that was accounted for when you picked up the vehicle. Huge scam and awful customer service. Extremely disgusted by the gross mishandling of this.

I’ve recently used Turo and it was super easy to find the perfect car for me. Highly recommend when on vacation. Dope app.

PLEASE READ!!! We were BLACKMAILED and SCAMMED. My wife booked a Turo with a woman named ASHLEY GARGIULO in Colorado Springs. LONG story short, we were unaware that the vehicle must be cleaned upon return (we filled up the gas and took trash out of the vehicle but it had snowed so the outside was dirty) and were very apologetic when Ashley addressed this. Ashley said she made a claim with Turo ($150 fee for a $15 car wash) but we understood as we did not read the fine print. Later that day Ashley texted my wife’s personal number saying she would make a deal with us because she was tired of Turo taking her money and that she was just happy there were good people in the world. Well we fell for it and paid $50 outside the app as Ashley said she would cancel the $150 fee. The next day we get a charge from Turo for $154.50. We immediately texted Ashley for our money back because clearly we were scammed and her response was “if you leave me a positive review, I will refund your $50. How is that for a good deal :)”. That is what some would call blackmail but not Turo. We contacted Turo and sent screen shots of everything yet all it took for Ashley to get away with this was her telling them she didn’t receive any money. Even though we have 100% proof that she did. Turo dismissed it like it was nothing and Ashley gets to keep on scamming people. TERRIBLE BUSINESS THAT DID NOT TAKE THE TIME OF DAY TO EVEN LOOK AT THE EVIDENCE WE SENT THEM. Very disappointed. Do not download this app

Renter beware

Host claimed a 1inch scratch on fender from a rock or something similar was a $690 charge. Turo would not even answer my emails to question charges and billed my card on file. Just a word of caution, they take care of their hosts and customer service does not exist for the renter.
