The host of my most recent trip manufactured damages to scam more money from a young driver, me, almost $600 plus $200 for violating the no smoking agreement, there was no smoking in the vehicle and photos were fabricated by the host as well. I got an email from Marcus about the false damages claiming that I had to pay the invoice but I can’t because my account was banned before the day I was supposed to pay, I have photos of the vehicle before and after the trip to not waste you time on this app

Young Driver Fee

The app seems to be easy to use and have a lot of selection, but once you go to book the price automatically doubles due to a “young drive fee” (calculated for anyone under the age of 26) and an additional trip fee. Was just looking for a rental while my truck is in the shop and this doesn’t look to be the answer.

I reserved a vehicle from a host the same day for 5:30 pm. I got out of work late and ran into traffic.. I let the host know (Shivek) that I was running late and would be there ABOUT 6! He said ok like it was no problem. I get to the parking garage and was confused as to where to pick up the vehicle. I reach for my phone to text him and there’s notifications of him canceling my trip!! No warning, no courtesy call or text! Just canceled! So I text him are you serious, he says yes very serious! You’re late! Mind you I got there at 6:04 and he was so rude and disgusting! Then I call Turo and they are trying to charge me $150 cancellation fee!!!!!! I am infuriated!! I will never ever ever use this app ever again and will make sure I tell everyone I come across!! Which is a lot of people!! If I could give negative stars, I would!!

Turo is an ingenious idea! Much more reasonable than a normal car rental agency and more flexible as well!

Account restricted for no reason

Horrible customer service, I did everything that was expected and still got my account restricted. I return the car early, had it washed and filled the tank . Even wrote down the tolls I passed through and left money for the owner of vehicle. Turbo is very unprofessional.

It is a SCAM!!!! Please save your time, effort and money on a REAL COMPANY, instead of one that makes you wait a month before responding, then only responded since I went back and complained!!!! After reading the other bad experiences, I FEEL LUCKY I GOT MY MONEY BACK FOR A TRIP THEY CANCELLED WITHOUT REASON!!!!! Beware!!!

You may either rent a car from some huge company that who knows what kind of customer service they have, or how quick they are to communicate, or from someone who is just like you wanting to rent their own vechile to make some money. It’s obvious the individual -like yourself- will go the extra mile every time and aim to provide you with outstanding service. Good job Turo!

Well you can make some extra cash and if someone does damage to your car your probably going to eat it, Turo doesn’t verify insurance. Plus not everyone but a lot of smokers and other recreational users have decided that Turo is the easiest place to get away with smoking in a car. You need to take enough photos to prove that the was no smoking before, the photos they ask you to take are not sufficient and they will side with the smoker and not payout the fine.
