I’m delisting my car from here. I did the math and for my 2016 BMW, they gave it to a customer for $40 a day.... screw that I’d rather drive for Lyft. Here’s my experiencing renting with Turo. The guy who rented my car damaged it in multiple places, ruined the leather, smoked in the car, smoked weed in the car, didn’t even feel the gas to fall, multiple scratch marks everywhere throughout the body, damage the entire front bumper and tried to replace the splitter by screwing rusty nails into the front bumper. Caused damage under the wheel weld. Left it completely trashed drop the car off left the keys inside the cupholder and left. I will definitely be suing and filing a damages claim.

the app itself isn’t great, I can’t change any of my information or pictures. the intuitiveness of it needs work. overall not a greatly built app.

Yes you can have a positive rental experience but the quality of service is measured in how they handle problems: 1. Called customer care 3x before I got someone on the phone. 2. Two hours of standing outside next to the car only to have them cancel on me after the rental start time and waiting. 3. Left with no car and Turo keeping the rental fee for the next 11 days. (Do any rental companies charge up front and then keep the money when they cancel on you). Great concept, poor execution and no protection from being scammed.

Fun fact I learned while trying to book a car for 24hrs, Turo does NOT charge you based on a 24 hr “day” but rather per calendar day. So those prices you see listed will be doubled. No thanks.

We arrived at our destination and our car was unavailable per owner. Owner stated that the car wasn’t returned, Turo listed it and they said they are unable to find the vehicle. We were stuck at the airport with no car and unable to rent from regular rent-a-car facilities because they were out of vehicles. Turo said whoops sorry our bad returned my money and didn’t help us find another vehicle. DO NOT USE THEM, they don’t care if you’re stranded and relied on their app to find a car.

Easy easy easy ... once I got my account verification done... I just selected a car pick the days paid they did hold $500 it really was hassle free and I went over my mileage and used tolls... It was easy I love it love it
