We were in an accident out of state with our hosts car in which the other party was found at fault. Turo’s insurance company (what you pay the extra insurance for) said they only step in if the driver of the hosts’ vehicle (me) is at fault. Turo is supposed to help the host file a claim against the other driver to get the damages repaired or pay for it themselves but no one over there seems to know what they are doing. My host’s vehicle is still out of state and he is not only losing money but Turo is giving him the runaround and I am caught in the middle (I had to pay for another rental to get my family home and Turo refused to refund the money I paid for days of the trip I did not have the vehicle bc it sits in a body shop. Turo offered me a measly $25 off my next trip instead). This app seems like a great idea to save money, but God forbid you’re ever in an accident, you and your host both will be out of luck. It’s better to just spend the extra money on an actual legit rental car service and cut your losses. Do NOT put your vehicle on this platform and don’t book with them. You may end up regretting it! We will NEVER use this company or app again. EVER!

Very fast and easy. Exactly what we were looking for. We went on vacation and realized we would like a car for 2 days of the trip. Downloaded the app that day and had a car set for pickup an hour later. The service fee was the only part that made this expensive, it added 50% to the bill! If you have the time to plan out your trip it would probably be cheaper to rent a car like usual, but for the last minute rental we needed we got a flashy car to show off and put the cherry on top of our vacation!

There is no live person to talk to regardless of the issue. Despite having clear evidence, documentation, agreement that the documentation is sufficient, they side on the host side. Beware.

Planned a whole trip on having a car available that would fit the whole fam. Cancelled 1 hour before trip by the car owner. No cars where available in the price range and size of car. All the other car rental places are now closed. Vacation ruined.
