You can spend hours looking at different variations of the same workout or you can just download this app and get in the gym.

StrongLifts 5x5 is a great program for all levels. Starts off mild but adds substantial weight quickly After 6 months Squat: 155 -> 225 Deadlift: 135 -> 225 OHP: 65 -> 105 Bench: 96 -> 180 Rows: 65 -> 135

I’ve tried different isolation lifting methods on my way to 5x5 strong lifts. Without a doubt I’ve had the best results with this workout regimen. The app compliments the workout immensely, keep track of time, sets, reps, and history. Helping with deloads, and overall just really simple to use. Within 5 months of using this app to augment my lifting I was up to 285lbs squat, 210lbs bench, 245lbs deadlift (took it slow due to previous back injury). If you commit to 3, or even 2, workouts a week, you will see results over time. Consistency is key, and this app allows you to cut the crap and workout. Kudos to the developer.

I like the addition of being able to control the app via the watch. The design of it I would like to see some additions. Primarily being able to see my current heart rate and being able to change music. The Apple workout app is preferable to me because it shows me the HR and I can switch tracks without having to switch apps. Overall, it’s a nice addition that lets me not have to touch my phone during the workout.

I just did the same workout twice in a row. I took off 4 days between workouts, because life happened. got halfway through the workout and realized I am doing the same workout as the last time. Went into logs, and yup, it scheduled me to do the same workout again. Please fix!

I have been away from the gym for about 4 months. My work schedule is crazy and lots of travel . 5x5 program is perfect no matter what the goal is. I recommend this program to really anyone. Get your form down and crush it. On days when I’m feeling good I will add a few more exercises but if not these lifts hit it all.

User-friendly, well-designed - all the things you want. Highly recommended app AND lifting program

Strong Lifts allowed me to get back to lifting without injury or pain. The focus on the large muscle group, measured and steady increase in weight, and instructional videos contributed to real gains in strength and flexibility that this 60-year old body hasn’t seen since the last good Rolling Stones album. I’m able to keep with the program. Best of all, it only takes 30 minutes every other day. Perfect complement to long bike rides. - Spartacus

Immediate buyers remorse. The ads led me to believe the subscription would open a ton of extra features. Nope! Only allows two workouts with a very limited number of exercises. Granted, you can create your own, but for a recurring subscription, this is hot garbage. The workouts are not easily modifiable. Based on my previous lifts, it gave me the weight to lift for my workout. The weight was comically light. The entire workout didn’t even make me break a sweat. It was a fraction of my normal warm-up. Maybe this stuff is changeable somehow, but I don’t have an hour to figure out a poorly designed, clunky app. They don’t offer a trial, because nobody would ever subscribe after. The only legit feature is the plate “calculator” for those that can’t do basic math. Hoping I can get a refund. R: Yeah, thanks, but I’m already familiar with the 5x5 method. In fact, I’m already doing the 5x5 method, which is why I was so excited to find this app and why I was so disappointed to waste money on this clunky garbage. Your workout isn’t the end all, be all of workouts. Mine might be better. What if I want to rotate between 3 workouts or what if I want to deadlift every day. The lack of custom options for a paid subscription is wicked frustrating.
