Frustrating!!

sfox0316

I’m getting really tired of my Sonos speaker. It never connects to my phone. Sometimes it does then the app tells you I can’t find the speaker even though the music is still playing from it but you have lost all functionality to control it. It doesn’t seem to have a Bluetooth only function so the portable speaker is completely useless once you leave the range of your WiFi. What can’t you just play music from your iTunes account through the speaker? I don’t have a clue. I must be doing something wrong because every one I know loves their sonos. But maybe they aren’t using it for portable audio. I’m ready to go back to Bose. Better sound and more functional!

YOUR SOFTWARE BL0W$

Seriously figure your sh!t out. I’m about to throw this stupid speaker out the window because IF AND WHEN I can get it to connect, ALL I GET ARE ERROR MESSAGES THAT IT CAN’T PLAY. I will be following up with the Better Business Bureau to explain what a fraudulent company you are.

Sonos Performance has Suffered For past 1+ Years

s73!3$:$

I have noticed over the past year or so that the performance of the Sonos speakers has not been the same as was experienced when I purchased my first Sonos speakers back in 2016. In the first few years, during which I added 3-4 more pairs of Sonos Play1 speakers, the sound was absolutely flawless. This is an anecdotal observation, but it “seems” that the replay performance and the synchronization of mucus across all my speakers suffered with Sonos’ introduction of the Sonos Move and So is Roam speakers which do NOT support Sonos’ proprietary mess networking, but instead rely on “standard” Wi-Fi signaling. I “suspect” that this move to using “standard” Wi-Fi was done in order to make Sonos more “main stream” and not require Customer to purchase a Sonos Boost device or run an Ethernet cable to at least one of their Sonos speakers. If this is an accurate presumption on my part, which of course is just a conjecture, then I believe this was an unwise decision. I am just one Customer, but as a point of reference, I have spent thousands of dollars on So is speakers because they played music FLAWLESSLY. I did not have any problem purchasing a Sonos Boost device (which is relatively inexpensive, considering my total investment on Sonos equipment). What I value, why I invested in Sonos, what I want is FLAWLESS sound, across all my speakers. Today I have speakers that drop playback randomly every 10-20 seconds, even with pairs of speakers, where the left speaker drops sound and the right speaker keeps playing. I have invested in a very expensive Linksys Velop mesh network with 4 Velop nodes each connected with CAT6 Ethernet cables to backhaul network traffic back to the main router (this preserving Wi-Fi bandwidth. I have a Sonos Boost device (which of course is directly connected to the network with the Sonos supplied Ethernet cable). And my Internet service is provided via a fiber optic cable that terminated in my house and is rated at 1 gbs (~1,000 mbs) download and 1 gbs (1,000 mbs) upload. In “real world” testing using “Speedtest.net” I have observed an average around 800 mbs download and around 550 mbs upload. Therefore I do not believe that the playback issues I’m experiencing have anything to do with my Internet connection.

Avoid and don’t buy

Blm blows

Since the company blocked the ability to play your saved digital music through the Sonos, mine has hardly been used. One update two years ago took that ability away and it has not been restored. That is exclusively why I brought the speaker so I could play all the music I have on my iPad around the house. Worthless door stop at this point.

Wifi setup is a nightmare

Lomity

Sounds is excellent once set up but wifi/speaker setup is a nightmare each and every time. Always a multitude of problems connecting. Sonos needs to fix.

App will not share with others!

JettaJack

I have two Sonos one units and two iOS devices on my network. If one iOS device is used to control the speakers through the app, say to turn SiriusXM on both, then closed, and left behind, the other iOS device can’t find the Sonos speakers. If the device is power cycled, it can suddenly find them.

Software issues with Apple Music

bkc4290

I can not get Apple Music on Sonos2 app this has been going on for a few weeks now.

What has happened-not stable

Bartman37

Music across my rooms is constantly cutting in and out. It is buggy. Others have noticed ask what it is, my response Sonos system and app. Their response oh I shouldn’t get that then. Fix it please it used to be very stable and work great.

Hot Garbage

JupiterBubba

The Sonia app is terrible. Constantly crashing. It is absolutely unusable. I can only use the speakers through Bluetooth. Do not buy Sonos unless you enjoy hot garbage in your home.
