This is our first security system after 40 years of marriage and I was a bit leery about Using it, however it has been very simple to operate and install. I did call a couple of times with questions and the customer service people were helpful and friendly.

SimpliSafe is Almost Great

We’ve had SimpliSafe for a year now. It was easy to install and when I had hiccups during the installation process their tech support was there to help me out. The app is easy to use and the keypad is easy too. I have sensors at all exterior doors, two motion sensors and a glass break sensor. As a young retiree the system makes me feel safe in an already safe neighborhood. But... I surely would like a better doorbell offering (we use Ring because it has alerts that sound different making it clear that someone is at the door while SimpliSafe does not). And SimpliSafe has no exterior cameras. Again, I use A Ring exterior camera. Of course that camera would alert us of motion and record what’s going on. It should not trigger an alarm. I also have Ring remote chimes. They are placed in the garage and on the back patio. They sound off when someone is at the front door. I’d like to use only SimpliSafe, but its equipment is presently too limited. That’s why it gets four rather than five stars.

Easiest Assembly Ever!

This was my first time buying alarm system and SimpliSafe was the EASIEST setup ever! I didn’t have to be on the phone with customer service for hours or go through a million YouTube videos on how to set it up. I recommend this system so much that this is my first review I’ve ever cared about writing for anything. 10/10 for great customer service and a great product overall!

We have had several security systems over the past 30 or so years. They had to be installed by professionals and it took a lot of time and just the installation was expensive. This system is very simple to install and you get a lot for your dollars. Loving it.

No landscape mode for iPad in 2019...

This app needs to be optimized for iPads. Also needs widget a dark mode support. Edit to dev response: Exactly. The app is compatible with ipad. But it's not OPTIMIZED for the iPad. Supports portrait mode only. Doesn't support landscape view at all. It's the iPhone app displayed on an iPad. This isn't 2012. I expect better doubly so for a paid service.

We have been with SimpliSafe now for about 15 years and have had absolutely no problems with the equipment or the service. This system is great and works flawlessly. I would recommend it to anyone. ?

System and app are inconsistent/glitchy.

•I turn the alarm off from the app and wait for the confirmation that the alarm is off before entering, yet it still goes off when I open my front door and walk I to the house. •If the system is set to “home” and we are about to leave, the keypad randomly decides to actually send the “off” command after I put in the correct code, but other times it’ll act like it did (and say it’s disarmed), yet the alarm still goes off when I open the front door to leave. •Tech support tried blaming it on programming until we went through the entire system and then started all over from scratch. Long story short, I have better odds of winning the lottery than actually getting this system to work as it was designed.

I love the convenience of being able to turn on and turn off the alarms from my phone anywhere. We own multiple houses and we have installed Simply Safe in all of them . Also, the price is right for the program.
