For lack of words to describe this app, I’ve decided to use emojis like all the young kids these days. ????? For users that want a Touch ID to login, the idea is safety so I understand that. Would you really want to unfortunately get mugged on a jog, walking in a parking lot, or wherever and now the thief can turn off your home alarm. Do you really want someone with potential access to your home or worse yet your family! No, so keep the login. Same with the key fob and why I deactivated mine. You should NEVER be able to disarm your security system without a password or passcode. Don’t sacrifice safety for convenience. As far as app, I only use when in bed so I don’t have to o get up and look at keypad. My room is fairly large and only panic button is in proximity. Other than that... ?

Cannot set up notifications in app! On device set up doesn't work and sms doesn't work either. I tried verifying my number but still nothing.

I am a 65 year old female who lives alone except for my dog. She only weighs 12 pounds so I couldn’t put much stock in her ability to stop a break in. I ordered the SimpliSafe system with 4 entry sensors, 2 motion sensors, and added the camera. Installation was not difficult and I was able to have the entire system installed and up and running in a relatively short period of time. I had a minor amount of difficulty getting the camera online but the support staff were exceptionally helpful. This system has given me a tremendous feeling of security. I can easily set it to on/home at night and rest easy knowing that my home is secure. When I am away I can fully arm the system and be confident that my small dog is not going to trigger the system. If you are looking for an affordable and easy to install system, look no further. With the 24/7 monitoring I know that I am much safer. I particularly like the ability to arm, disarm, or get a live camera view of my living room by using the SimpliSafe app on my phone.

Needs an option to silently arm/disarm

Yes I know you can completely disable voice prompts and chimes. I don’t want to do that. I simply want the option to arm/disarm silently from the app on those nights when I come home at 1am and don’t want to wake up the entire house with voice prompts.

Beware! Wireless Unit Hackable

Simplisafe has known since February 2016 that these wireless units can be hacked with $130 worth of hardware. There is NO encryption or authentication between the sensors and basestation. Beware- anyone can turn off your system with little skill. They refuse to update the hardware. This is a huge security flaw they won’t fix. Forbes did an article. Go read it.

Just recently it will not pick up from my phone. I have to use the keypad and only the keypad is there a fix for this?

Panic button needed and connectivity issues

There should be an implemented panic option in the app. Nobody is going to run to the panic button or grab the key fob to press it during an emergency. Everybody will grab their cell however. Also the app barely connects now... Terrible updates

I am happy with the features in the app. Nice to be able to look at the status of the sensors, etc. Easily arms and disarms the system. Occasionally it will fail to connect (rarely) or it may take 10-15 seconds (also not often) to connect and arm/disarm. They continually update the app with bug fixes and new features. Thanks for an affordable security solution!
