Goals are confusing

I can’t ever tell if a goal is a bucket that money is saved in or if it’s just a labeled portion of my regular checking account.

I don’t understand how this bank is allowed to operate. Numerous issues with the app and my account and it is impossible to get ahold of an actual person if you need help.

Not happy I have to wait when I deposit a check and that I had to resubmit it becuz I didn’t know about all the extra stuff needed on the back my normal checking account never required all that and it’s there within min and won’t let u summit a bad review

I downloaded this app specifically for the savings goal feature, and I cannot even use it. It only offers daily contributions. I don’t want to make daily contributions. I want to take a chunk of money from each paycheck, and I am paid biweekly. I guess I won’t be using this app after all.

Won’t let me sign up for literally no reason. Like they even said they can’t tell me the reason. It said the same thing when my mom tried to apply. What a joke.

I have multiple accounts for different things. I found using Simple banking as my spending acct money has been very nice. I like the fact that to get money in and out, there is a little bit of a process. It’s just what I have in there is what’s in there. The way Simple is set up makes it less tempting to always move money around when I need it or I may start getting low like I have done with other banks checking and savings accts. I always give myself a budget once it’s gone, it’s gone. The only thing that could be better is if there was a possibly to deposit cash through an ATM just because I am not a conventional W-2 employee where I make my money every couple weeks. I am a real estate agent and at one point I was in the service industry as a bartender/server.As you can imagine it was a little annoying to not be able to deposit money that way since payment can be sporadic. I learned to adjust and deposing cashier checks has been my method and it’s very easy!! I really enjoy Simple and there’s so many cool features that I don’t even really get to use since this isn’t my account to save money but I should. I have a lot of friends who use it for multiple things and they actually love it as well! I highly recommend.

I initially signed up for Simple because my traditional institution gave me a very limited checking account due to my credit at the time. I was looking for a bank that would allow me the freedom to use my money the way I wanted to. Simple was the best choice for me and I will continue to stay with them.


Love Simple hate the current app

I've been using simple for 4 years now. Love it too death. Best banking system I've ever used. But this current app update is garbage. Constantly crashes. Try to transfer money to another simple user and it crashes before I can even see their name. Crashes after doing anything in goals. Apparently not compatible with iOS 14.1. Other than the app crashing, I have no complaints skit simple itself.


Expenses are still broken

We have been simple users for many years. This is it for us. We are reaching the point where we can’t tell where our money is going and we don’t trust their math with how they are allocating expenses. There is much less transparency. As a result their support wait time and response is ridiculously long. They claim that it is related to the pandemic but it is really that they have ruined an app without any notice to the customers. I really want them to fix this instead of me having to move to another bank. I am not a user that is complaining because I overspend my paycheck every month and need to blame someone other than myself. I use simple to save and budget. What simple keeps releasing is a product that isn’t user tested, reviewed for mathematical errors, or bugs in the software. I can’t imagine how people get to keep their jobs over this but I guess it takes people like me leaving the bank for change to happen. Read the other negative reviews.
