Don't get it, it's trash

I deposited a check on September 25th and since I have a new account it would take 9 business days, understandable, thing is I still never received my money from my check. It said it spent in my account then added itself back to neutralize the account to $0. I called customer support twice and waited 40 minutes for a support worker to help and all they said was "We'll send you an email informing you" and I never got an email. It's October 8th. If you want to keep your money go to a different bank.

Please fix the glitches

Please fix the glitches with the goals lay out , it’s really making the app unusable, I now have to look at these on a web browser . An update to fix this is desperately needed. This has been the case for too long . Please please fix

Love the budgeting features. All my money needed for bills set aside automatically each paycheck and extra money for savings and a future trip to Italy! Will not bank anywhere else!!

Long story short: fraud, money stolen, terrible customer service. My partner and I were eager to open a Simple account to manage our expenses. We both had scheduled deposits into our Simple account, when I found several fraudulent charge attempts on our joint, unused account. I was able to cancel my deposit, but my partner was not (it was already in process at the bank). When I closed our account (again, due to FRAUD), I asked the agent if that money would land in the Simple account. She said that the check would bounce and stay in the original account. The transfer to Simple still went through, despite closing our account. Now, my partner is out of $1500 because Simple refuses to give the money back. She has talked to their customer support numerous times, who say it is her original bank who has the money. The original bank says the money has already been transferred. You could not pay me to use this bank again.

Doesn’t help you when your locked out your account a rude lady name Caroline works for dispute department customer service isn’t 24 hrs so it’s a real hassle the only good thing about app is they don’t charge you extra fee but other than that I would say just get prepaid bc the customers service is no help at all


App support and development gone from great to lackluster

The main reason for using simple used to be the ease of use with the app. There are no physical locations, so having a clean interface that is user friendly should be a top priority. The simple team, once great, has begun severely faltering in this regard. Their dev team takes shortcuts which work on some systems and don’t on others. When reported, you get a blanket response which doesn’t mean or do anything and then never hear about it again. Their development has chosen to go the route of “make it easy to develop” instead of “make it work for the native system and user understanding”. Yes, development costs are lower when you try to make everything the same (sometimes), but your user experience is going down the drain. Please put reasonable effort and energy behind your development processes and make the banking experience wonderful for customers again. At this rate, anyone else who has a similar app with a better UX can easily come in and compromise your market share.
