Loving my Schlage Smart Lock!

This was my first time using a Schlage Smart Lock and I’m loving it! Very secure and paired with the Wi-fi adapter, it allows such ease of use and flexibility.
No notification for low battery!

The most annoying thing about this app is that there’s no notification for when the battery gets low. I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve gone to open the door and found out that the batteries have died.
Don’t rely on this piece of crap working

27 degrees Fahrenheit outside. My wife, our two year old son and I are outside trying to get it to unlock. The damned thing keeps saying that neither my wife’s nor my phone can connect, even when held right on top of the lock. Once you connect to the app, the user codes no longer work to unlock the door. The Wi-Fi hub that is supposed to extend the range also can’t reach the lock from two feet away. Schlage is garbage.

Would’ve been 5 stars if the auto lock feature was longer than 4 minutes. Also would be nice to be able to get an alert if I forget to lock my door after a certain amount of time when auto lock is turned off. but overall great product
New installation

It was not a very easy installation. Also, after set up, the app tells me the opposite status of the lock! When locked, it displays “unlocked”; when unlocked, it displays “locked”. I don’t know how to fix it.
Schlage Encode is excellent
whats happening and why
We have two rentals each with a Schlage Encode front door lock. On my iPhone I can set a unique door code for each renter’s date and time for start and end. The Schlage app displays every time the door is locked and unlocked and by whom. This prevents one renter entering when another renter is there. Does require each rental to have its own internet installed as the locks will not work on shared internet (thank heaven! What a security breach that would be). Only one rental allows for installed internet. For the other rental I permanently dedicated a Verizon hotspot that I plug in and keep in a locked box under the kitchen sink at the extra outlet (disposal uses the other outlet).

Great app, just needs more history than one month. Maybe three? I’d like a year. Ideally history duration would be user selectable and clearable. Let users decide how far back they want to store and view. Also needs the ability to search, sort, filter entries to find when and how the lock was or was not opened or closed by whom.
Schlage connection issue

I really like the Schlage wifi front door lock. The only problem I have with it that it always logs out from my account. The system is sometimes unreliable and slow.
