App is great, service is iffy

I want to love RTR, but so many things piss me off about it! lol They just switched how they do returns, and even when I literally drop the return off at UPS the very same day I hit return in the app, they still put my account on hold and say they haven’t received my return. When I track the return, it always says arrived, but they lock my account for days while they process my return. it wasn’t that bad before they changed return carriers.. i would only get the account locked if I actually dropped it off late when they used fedex. I have also received multiple thin, dainty items on too big of hangers, so that the hangers leave stretch marks. I want to keep using this service instead of buying new, but they need to get their act together!

Looking for a new clothing subscription

AjMiley

I was really excited to wear a skirt that I ordered. Unfortunately I had an unexpected trip come up. Paid $70 for something I didn’t even wear. Not very happy

Disappointing service

It started off nicely, but got so disappointing towards the end. Not worth the 140$ you pay for low quality clothing and bad service (I got damaged items more than twice, with no refund considered). Total hack

Warning: Over charges, slow delivery, app mid-functions and terrible customer support

Kathy@2020

I’ve been a faithful customer of RTR for years and recently started to encounter issues with my unlimited membership on what fees like a bi-weekly basis. RTR now requires that you swap shipments when using the unlimited service. Not only do shipments now take almost a week to arrive at your home, there a constant delays in the deliveries (causing me to miss my shipment for a beautiful vacay), the swap function regularly not work, but now my account has mysteriously increased from 4 slots to 7 slots, with an added cost of $100 a month. I reached out to a manager by email who has been shockingly totally dismissive of my real concerns about the overcharges and inability to actually get the clothes (which is pretty much the point of this exercise). Not sure what’s going on, but the service levels have gone from stellar to terrible. Consider yourself warned that somehow you may get charged $279/month for 21 slots but be unable to actually get the clothes.

Disappointing at best.

RTR was the quiet literally the best thing to happen to millennial women in nyc. Kept us well dressed and was super convenient for our busy social lives at an awesome price. But they’ve def lost sight of their original consumer base and their main appeal with their attempt to scale & IPO - the clothes are dated, the quality went WAY downhill ( they’ve actively gotten ride of the real designer clothes, it’s really giving saks fifth avenue outlet vibes) and the swap plans don’t make any type of sense. I give it two stars because great for weddings (even though I’m getting to the point where I’m exhausting my options) but l honestly wouldn’t recommend it anymore.

It’s just not worth it…

I’m all for ditching fast fashion but you’re better off going to a thrift store. The subscription is just way too expensive. Also if you want to cancel they don’t make it easy at all. You have to send an email. If you don’t send the email before the pending charge goes thru for the next month they charge you for a whole month of a service you’re not going to use. I wrote an email the day after noticing the charge and got burned. Be warned!

RTR the bomb

They have nice elegant reasonable clothes for women! Will definitely shop here????

App is always down

The app always has an issue. Even if you update it. When the app is working the rental process is fine but that’s always a hit or miss and most times it’s a miss.

Really bad experience

Marie Rose VR

I rented two dresses for an event- my first time getting a sitter and going out since covid- and the dresses never showed up. They were lost in the mail and when I reached out to find out where they were (they didn’t loop in with me) the lady just told me they were lost and they’d give me a 20% discount on a future order. So I didn’t have a dress for this event. I had been so excited to get dolled up and the customer service and experience was awful. She just told me not to worry as they wouldn’t charge me. Really disappointing. I wish I could say that was my first negative experience, but I just keep trying. Lesson learned.

Excellent customer service!

I am on my second rental right now with rent the runway. I had a few issues with my order (on my end, not theirs) and I called customer service. The representative was polite and helpful!! Yes, their clothes are wonderful too! I will continue to use RTR because their customer service is top notch!
