Worthless app

This app is completely useless It doesn’t work and the IT personnel who developed it should be fired


Don’t waste the 10$ it makes you buy when you get on the ship to make it work

It makes you buy when you get on the ship to make it work. Then only if your phone is on and app is open does the messenger work. That’s the only reason we bought it and could not use it. This was on the Epic ship that is another disaster.


This app doesn’t work or do bare minimum. W or w out additional expensive WiFi

This app didn’t deliver and I am confused about its purpose. My friends and I are all in our 20s and attempted to utilize this app together and separately to no avail: TBH UR BETTER OFF WRITING ROOM NUMBERS OF FRIENDS ON PAPER OR PHONE AND USING THE PHONES IN ROOM. U CAN MAKE UR OWN VOICEMAIL WHICH IS FUN. The WiFi was garbage too and at a hefty price tag. I-messages sent as text and sending emails or playing a song was not an option and AT&T ended up charging data fees even tho barely worked. Unsure if I received a few texts bc of my phone provider or bc app. Judging on att bill it was not the boat. I forgot to turn the setting off to find networks bc it always claimed to be on boat WiFi and also I figured the WiFi package would work. So don’t get this app. Got it before boat left Florida w my friends and was useless and waste of storage. ANNOYING AND STAFF WAS NO HELP AND I KMOW HOW TO LOG IN AND USE. APPS\ understand APP INSTRUCTIONS. I also don’t usually have trouble which made it more frustrating and I felt more determined to figure it out Nickel and dimed w a conveniently non English\Spanish staff. My friend was able someone who spoke one of the 6 languages she speaks and he had no answers\ gave strong drinks \ creeped but idk have a hard time believing no answers for WiFi when it is a section of the about email- saying how CONVENIENT it all is and like it’s some favor to us all haha got my money back but wish the boat (for how fun it is)would just not do this instead. Had to contact apple , the boat and at&t so fun. CHARGE LESS AND ADMIT IT MAY NOT WORK OR DELIVER ON CLAIMS . Note: this app does not include WiFi , I am simply stating neither one worked so just use phones 0/5 stars and I am not first nor last but hope to shy people away from either w this rant someone on that bias had to have WiFi it just isn’t paying customers.


Background Notifications no longer work

The messaging and phone functions are no longer useful as they require the app to be running in the foreground. Instead of paying the $14.95, it’s better to just pay the $0.05 per text message to keep in touch with friends. (Yes I’ve confirmed my iOS settings for background app refresh and allowing push notifications)


Waste of money

Our party of four tried to use the phone/message feature with minimal success. It might have worked 3 times. Works ok to see how much will be owed at checkout, managed to make 1 dinner reservation. Don’t spend the $10/person/day!

Says it’s not for the ship we are o. To Alaska. The app seems to work For One ship. Wth. Get someone when knows what they are doing

This app doesn’t provide basic functions such as group text or alerts. You are only alerted if you have your phone open and the app open Other items NCL should consider A map of the ship Your itinerary should include your reservations The cost to send texts to others onboard is Double other cruise lines and they allow group texts Better ship WiFi. You are often not able to send/ receive texts


GARBAGE - WASTE OF MONEY

Just returned from our cruise & this app was useless. We ended up using post it notes on the door or using the in room phones to communicate. App Messages don't get received, or will show up 2 hrs later after they're sent, & restarts don't help.

I downloaded this to use on a recent cruise on NCL, and it was essentially worthless. Not sure what the point of having it installed is, since it provides nearly no information.


Has potential, but needs some work

This had great functionality when I used it first two years ago, but it hasn't progressed much since. It constantly disconnects and connects from wifi on the ship, which is just annoying, but not a big deal. It would be great if it integrated my existing reservations for shows and dining into the app. Then take it a step further and allow me to add activities to the days activities, thereby creating my own list of activities for the day and get reminders before he activity starts. I would often see things I wanted to do, but would forget them, or they would get lost in a subsequent review of activities and I never did them. But if I could add it to MY days activities it would be helpful. Especially when I'm weeding through activities for all types, including kids activities when I don't even have kids. Also, I would like to be able to view the deck plans of the ship that I am on, and even the whole fleet of ships with their itineraries. Might help get me interested in booking another cruise.
